what's even crazier is mark was 17 when he wrote that verse and the craziest part is he wrote the english version of the verse to phonetically sound the same as the korean verse while keeping the message of it. he's very talented. his flow and cadence are unmatched.
True..Mark's one of the best rappers in Kpop..I mean his FLOW and articulations 🔥 (thats why he's everywhere..nct dream, 127, superm). You will also find he has great personality (cheerful and full of positivity + extremely humble with that kind of talents and achievements in such young age).

This was one of his first songs with SM (I think the first was a Red Velvet track, Don't U Wait No More) and Mark's rap is indeed immaculate - lyrics always lose something without a skilled translator but he was absolutely talking his shit in this one (HIS, he did write it)

i remember watching this mv for the first time. I was just passing by and my sister’s watching this. My initial thought was “Oh, another kpop group?” THEN I HEARD MARKYONG’S RAP!!! I was sold right away. It was on repeat for a year until Boss came. Was just passing by the tv again then saw TY’s chiseled jaw and i was awestruck. ENTERED MARKYONG’S ICONIC BOSS RAP and soul was sold again 😢 listened to cherry bomb and boss for years without actually thinking much about the group then i saw THE from home mama performance and i sold my entire sanity to nct
i hope you can react to more nct stuff esp the ones with sick mark rap verses. i don't keep up with the group much anymore but i had a long nctzen phase and i'm sure i was at my peak when cherry bomb dropped (watching this reaction got me feeling nostalgic lmao). hearing the song again made me remember how obsessed i was with mark's verses too

It's not my favorite English version of theirs, but there is one for Cherry Bomb... I mean, don't get me wrong it's good, I've just heard the Korean version too many times. But it might be a way for you to nail down the flow. Unfortunately it's not on Spotify though, I think it's an iTunes exclusive.
Also... this is one of their most iconic choreographies, so I highly recommend checking that out at some point... imo, the mv leaves out some of the best parts. If you're a Loona fan, they did a cover it that is pretty legendary too. 😄
