@@AngieHolden i found a video of someone who used an Easy Press Mini. She did not say what temperature, but held the mini on the item for 60 seconds. (I would guess the highest temp it has.)But the inventors of the Scorch pen have a channel and have a video showing putting things in an oven- preheat the oven to 350, and bake the items for 10-15 minutes (you watch and decide by how dark you want/see the marks getting). Oh yes and the Scorchpen channel shows using it on paper.

I am definitely intrigued by the oven method! I have seen them using it on paper and that seems so scary! HA!

@@AngieHolden I was thinking the same thing, watching the guy use a super hot heat gun with paper. I am thinking of making Christmas cards with a nativity scene, using the scorch pen on the a-frame parts and the crèche part, and colors for the people and animals. I just now bordered Cricut stencil vinyl to try it out to see if it prevents bleeding.
I wonder if paper or card stock would curl in the oven? The mini Easy press would give a lot of control, I think.

what happens if I don't seal the wood?

Sealing is recommended by the manufacturer of the wood burning pen. I haven't tried it without it.

From your title, I thought you were going to use the wood-burning marker in your Cricut machine. Nice job, but your title was misleading.

I think the title is accurate as I am using my Cricut.
