Just to clarify the killing of the Cat in GTA V was due to the input lag of the game, as you may know GTA V can occasionally suffer with large delays between inputs and actions, this is why the games' movements seem sporadic in the few seconds of footage previous to this. I also do not have autosave enabled so no cats were permanently harmed during the making of this video.....I felt this needed to be said.

So was I fooled or it was worth it as it had no dirt or damage to consider. It was released back in 2007-08. Thanks for any advice.
Yep, certainly! The cheapest I was able to get a laptop for was about £16 and that is a Fujitsu from 2006... which can't really do too much. Spotify is OK, RUclips isn't (certainly for anything above 360p!), but at least it can play DVDs and CDs. Really lightweight games (such as Peggle, from the late 2000s) will run but nothing of the like being tested here. Oh, and this is a Windows XP machine. Forget Windows 7 or 10, they won't work.

An Ssd and a new screen (perhaps even an upgrade to that 1080 panel mentioned earlier) would do a laptop like this a world of good, even though this video is a few years old
This could actually be upgraded if required, the CPU can be upgraded to a suitable Core 2 Duo, which has more power; the RAM can be upgraded to 8GB DDR2 and the HDD can be upgraded to any 2.5 HDD or SSD. You can even upgrade the wireless B/G card to a newer, B/G/N card (or even a wireless AC card). I've bought a Dell Studio 1745 and will have great times upgrading it to its maximum potential, and using it as my Windows 7 laptop. Also, this was well worth it even for just the 500GB hard drive. (And yes, I would replace the screen also, due to the imperfections.)
I wouldn't mind seeing a restoration video for this. Also, I get how surprisingly good laptops of this era can be when repaired and maxed out. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy your videos!

The main boot drive in my 2007 XPS Dell 420 finally died after 10 years of use. It’s a cheep fix but since my computer was 10 years old I thought I’d try something a bit more modern. I got a Minix Neo 383-4. I coupled it with a 256 Samsung 256GB solid state drive. The new machine doesn’t make any noise at all. I was using the XPS in the office as a media PC for years and now that the new PC is here I’m super happy about how quiet it is. It’s comparable in performance but the addition of USB 3 ports, a solid state HDD and small footprint has me sold. I don’t want another old PC. I don’t care how cheep they are.

I love the Sims 2 music in the background :D
The 500gb hard drive itself is worth well over 5 pounds considering external/internal variants are worth +35 on amazon.
I would like to see follow up video "new flex cable, SSD, 8GB ram" :) btw nice job m8.
