HOW TO SET UP REALISTIC TRAFFIC to ANY TRACK in Assetto Corsa with 1000+ Cars!

- Hello and welcome back to the tribe,
my fellow tribesmen in this video I will show you how to add your own realistic traffic to any track you want with the quite simple and already included csp traffic tool without any fps drops.
Before we jump to the game and create our traffic lines. You need to make following changes and adjustments in 3 easy steps:
Step 1)
CSP-traffic tool is already included in the CSP package, but some necessary data files are left out delibaretly to make the CSP lighter. You can find these data files from the link below and also from the video description files.acstuff.ru/shared/IeBU/... . This "data" folder contains traffic car models, colliders and font to generate license plates on fly. This folder must placed in to the following folder:
Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\lua\tools\csp-traffic-tool
Step 2) Preparation of the track, you want to add traffic to: for scripting physics to work, track should have custom physics enabled and explicitly allow for scripts to alter physics. For that, you need to locate and edit very simply your track's "surfaces.ini" file. This “surfaces.ini” file can be found in “content/tracks/trackfolder/data” or in “content/tracks/trackfolder/layout/data”).
What you should do is to add the following:
• Change WAV_PITCH in SURFACE_0 to “extended-0” this activates custom track physics
• And add following text somewhere:
[_SCRIPTING_PHYSICS]
ALLOW_TOOLS=1
Step 3) And the last step is, that you go to settings -- CSP and then to GUI in order to make sure that the point and click objects inspector is activated.

Well done! This traffic planner tool was first made over a year ago by Ilja specially for our laserscanned (1cm accuracy scan) Bucharest 200km which we made for the government needs (unfortunately its confidential and we can't release it to the public) :(

@@DEADTHENALIVE when in game you hover your mouse on the right side on the screen a menu toolbar thingy should pop up you then scroll until you find object selector click on it then tools then traffic planner and fittle with it only works on tracks that have lanes in the files would love to learn how to do it but sadly cant find a video on how

Brother help me out. I managed to get the traffic to work but I have to main problems. 1: The traffic lights dont work so when I drive at nighttime they arent visible to me since their lights dont work. 2: when I cut up infront of them the traffic slam their brakes which looks weird almost like they dissapear from my screen. Any solutions?

The one on patreon for me I use the other version since the main one he posts the creator of the traffic tool he uses the newest srp public test build on 0.9.2 but it is way more cpu heavy for me so I use his heiwajima n pa traffic but on 0.9.1 works fine but still not really the full map with traffic the free one is nice too but only 3 lane no exits or anything but soon cause this is seeming to be a very good mod already I hope for police cars in the future...

Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. I managed to do it but then, the AI traffic can receive mechanical damage even though I've disable the mechanical damage. Was running practice mode to test it. May I know how to fix it ? How about changing different cars ? If i wanna run a server.

How to enter the track editor? I can enter the race but I can't move the camera freely
Hello and thanks for sharing. I have a maybe very simple question but I've never tried it. How do I get to the screen at minute 3.16 where you move from above on the circuit like an editor? I open trim and get to my car then activate the inspector, which I use to sort out the traffic in the tracks I have. But wanting to make my own from scratch, I don't know how to position myself and which app to activate to run the editor. Thank you for the video and also for the answer if it arrives. HI
i know its late reply maybe you have found solution already but if not go to content manager settings and on top left where we select cs ac etc theres a search option just search for free camera and allow it then use f7 in game and arrow keys to move .

I have managed to make the traffic work but I don't know if it stays saved To open it again later. On the other hand, it requests repetitions the traffic remains stopped is there any way to make it record the reply?
Notice that some old versions of the Shader path don't work, I used the last one.

Thank you. Wallpaper is from Steam Wallpaper engine. Other addons are from rainmeter app.

too bad there is no way to create traffic for an offline race, in an AI race of opponent drivers crash into traffic vehicles, is there a way to have traffic off-line in races with opposing drivers? thanks anyway for this video tutorial!

Thank you! Hit F7 on the keyboard, which enables free cam. You move around with arrow keys, CTRL+Arrow keys lets you move around faster, SHIFT+arrow keys slower.

No, hit F7 then push an arrow key. The Camera will move. You can point the camera by holding right mouse buton (could be left too).

You need to enable Free Camera on CM (Settings>Assetto Corsa>Quick Switches). Then in game press F7.

Hi, great video as always mate. Just wondering if you or anyone else here have any general tips for getting the framerate up? I'm noticing some jitters and I don't think I've got high settings at all. And considering I'm running the game on a 10th gen i7 with a 2070s I feel like my Assetto Corsa performance should be a bit better.
I know a 2070s isn't the cutting edge, but I assumed it was still fairly decent and capable of handling a lot of what AC throws at it. And I see that your PC is a step below mine, so any advice would be appreciated.
it might take some time but go through the ExtraFX and Graphic Adjustments in the CSP Settings. also in the main AC video settings, set reflections to 2 faces per frame, disable motion blur, and mirror resolution to 256x1024. i turn off temporal anti-aliasing which is on by default, i turn GrassFX down to Low, turn down the 'cars casting lights' option in Lighting FX down to 6, Particles FX set smoke and dust to 'render at half resolution'. there's a lot of options to go through, these should get you started though.
turning off the virtual mirror in View & UI (AC settings) also gave me a major frame boost.

@@AndrewWilson1991 What's a 1660 equivalent to in terms of Nvidias? I'm pretty new to PC gaming, I basically bought one for Assetto and the modding scene.
Yes, it's a great record. Not sure what Chevelle refers to though.
@@thesprawl2361 GTX1660 is Nvidia, it's just old now. It sits somewhere between a GTX1080 and RTX2060 just with less vram. Oh and I was getting Sonic Youth mixed up with Chevelle - similar album covers. Cheers
What’s the csp package
good tutorial but i dont have csp traffic tool pre installed even with csp installed. I dont seem to find the folder, in lua folder there is none tools folder. Please help

I noticed that downloading the CSP via download site didn't contain the traffic files, but downloading it from CM worked. At CSP menu on settings, go to about & updates and install the latest available version from there.

few questions, how u save this files, can you upload, download this files and share with the community?
No need to save manually. Every change you make is saved automatically to the traffic.json file where you edit the surfaces.ini file. You share both traffic and surfaces files and that's it.
