That's a good way to destroy the LEDs! The heat can't properly dissipate when you block it in like that, which surely will burn the LEDs out faster, you probably just cut the life expectancy in half! Lol

Well, technically, Ken's friend is incorrect. Imalent is not known for the greatest quality control when it comes to flashlights. That distinction would have to go to Acebeam and Lumintop. The latter makes what they call the BLF GT. Short for Giga thrower flashlight. I have that one, and it's truly a monster. And yes, I know, the fact that I know too much about this topic is scary.
That's what's missing from those high output flashlights - sound effects! They need to build those in. I want a cool ray gun sound when lighting a campfire with my flashlight.

You should be very very careful to point that thing into the sky. from what i read - you dont even need to point it at a plane. if any aircraft pilit sees a laser in air anywhere - if they can pinpoint it to you - is a felony * potentially a federal charge
Only night time use only why not try duren the day when sun is high up and not cloudy just to see if you see beam in broad day light. Next 30 years there will be a 200000 lumen flashlight that run for longer. Torches of early 1980s nwere 35 lumens and we thought wow they are bright!
Imalent says it has a proximity sensor so if it's close to anything it automatically drops to the lowest power. So how is it powerful enough to cook egg with foil over the lense?
@@gasmania1 I was feeling the same 669 for the i alert ms18 or 600 for the olight marauder 100k lumens or 25k lumens max I choose the ms18 and ordered min last Wednesday or Thursday and i received my beast of a flashlight on Monday so far I only ran mine 2 full charges the downfall is I can only run the 100k lumen turbo setting for like 30 seconds before the heat indicator starts blinking and gets really hot my fav settings are the 700 lumen setting 14 hours and 45 minutes of run time to the 10k lumen setting of 3 hours and 45 mins of run time really I don’t need anything above the ten thousand setting but it’s great to know I can out shine anyone around me 😆😆😆 if need be just to prove my I have the best of the best for now until I alert comes out with a stronger one then I’ll be buying that as well 😆

How long does the torch run for on the 100,000 lumens setting? I've read that it only last for 60 seconds which has put me off purchasing one.

At 10,000 lumens it'll run for 6 hours.
At full 100,000 lumens it'll run for about 60 seconds, or until it gets too hot!
