Honestly I LIKE when people post original art and not JUST the most popular waifus. I do see why you would struggle though as beautiful scenes like that require being semi-close to the picture and it's not as 'eye grabbing' for some. However I do think that the studio ghibli vibe is good and I know a lot of people who love art like yours on their wall. So I still think you have a place in our hearts. Anime and gaming cons will always favor fandoms, but I do think that there is a niche part that enjoy original stuff. When I see a lot of hentai artists for example, I like to ask them if they have any original art, and sometimes they will pull out some of the best art ever that they don't think will sell cause it's not 'sexy' or a popular character. Those are usually my favorites. It just seems like kumoricon is an anime con at heart and anime fans like anime that they know. I did notice that there were a TON of announcements especially for lost cosplay stuff. Instead of just being simple "We have an accessory off a Miku cosplay" they made it a semi long monologue. It was funny the first few times, but after a while it did get a bit annoying. Or just every 30 minutes or an hour give the "Pat yourself real quick, check to see if you're missing anything. If so, come to lost and found."

I totally understand why it's hard for some artists to bring out their original stuff- most attendees are looking for exactly what they want, so Original Art and Characters can easily get overlooked! But I think it totally rings true when artists just wish they could make whatever they wanted and survive off that. and YES. it was totally a script- and it was cute the first 2 or 3 times, but I think they had to do it for every item they found? pls just do a general reminder for next year, I literally couldn't hear what my customers needed T.T
