- This is part 2 of my Marrakech (Morocco) trip with my mom. And in today's video I will not only show you how beautiful and unique Marrakech is, but I will also show you how to not get scammed.
It's very common in Marrakech to pay things 10x or 20x the real value, especially in the Medina. So be careful.
Despite that, I really like Moroccan people and I love Marrakech. 🇲🇦

Hahaha omg its so funny about the old man :D he thought you were a Moroccan immigrant from the diaspora (Morocco has many large immigrant communities in Europe and Italy is one of the most important) so he was saluting them and telling them hi and also wishing the king of Morocco good health and protection and prosperity for all Moroccan people and the visitors :)

Excellent video and an enticement for people to visit a very welcoming culture. I live in Atlanta, but in my visits to Morocco I've learned (somewhat) the skills of negotiation. It can be wearing to you or it can be a fascinating connection with another human. Have fun with it and always be respectful. The merchant is only trying to be successful. It's OK if you, as an affluent traveler, pay a little too much.

You have a good head on your shoulders. You know how to navigate the good and the bad really well and you know how to really enjoy and appreciate the refined things of life. Your mother raised you well and she seems very kind as well. One thing about Morocco is there's quite literally no country in the world quite like it. It's very hard to put it into words and the times I visited, it felt like I was transported to a different planet. All the senses are triggered and you feel very alive being there. I think it's good you avoided all the hyper-modern parts of Marrakesh. I don't care much for all that jet set luxury lifestyle, although places like Mamounia are an exception as it's historically significant. But Nikki beach, La Plage Rouge, Pacha, etc. you can find all that in Miami, Ibiza, etc. too so nothing original. I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels and keep the content coming!

Just got back from a long trip to Morocco. I have traveled a lot and I tell you - Moroccan people are the nicest folks I have ever met, by far. LOVE the country and I will go back.

Marrakech is my favorite Moroccan city. It's the real Morocco. I always stay in cheap hotels 4 min from Jama El-fna. 60 dh 6 euro
Il ya quelque chose d'unique dans cette ville attachante mais ça reste une ville très touristique donc il faut faire attention à pas se faire arnaquer ou harcelée par les vendeur comme partout dans le monde.

I wouldn't call it getting scammed. It is normal in all countries to overprice the item and they expect you to negotiate them down. If you don't then that's your fault. Except the U.S. where everything is way overpriced and you can't negotiate it down hahaha
8:16 Unfortunately this is a reality in my country, and i don't like it at all but normal it's one of the few negative things in morocco. I hope all this people change the way they pushing people to buy their things, and terrorists be more careful and watchful & do not get into things easy if you're not interested that's how we face this problem actually as a citizen.
