- Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales says she can't say what types of accounts are listed in AMLC documents (savings, current, etc). Cuevas asks her about passbooks, to which Morales responds: "Hindi na uso ang passbook ngayon, Justice Cuevas."

Sinabi ni morales na not all because that has not been the practice of all banks in that time which is true because of the creation of new mediums like debit cards. @@WigoKing Watch it again. The reason sinabi nya yun is to justify her claim that not all deposits and withrawals are supported by passbooks. Passbook is just one type of account on the discretion of the client sa panahon nayan unlike nung traditional banking. Mas prominent na electronic banking dyan kagaya ng debit cards through ATM, etc. Bakit pag nag tratransact kaba ng small amounts sa mall, passbook gamit mo? In justice cuevas' defense, either na vague pagkasabi niya or he was not familiar with new banking methods. Still, cuevas was one of the most brilliant minds in the philippines.
@@WigoKing Try to understand the whole context of the statements. Hindi yung isang linya lang iinterpret mo. Still, tama kanaman na ginagamit pa passbooks kaya lang yun nanga, hindi dun isolated meaning ng statement ni morales.

Cuevas is lawyering for Corona. That doesn't qualify him to be pro-Corona already since attorneys are bound to protect their clients regardless if they agree or not.

Just looking at how this exchange of arguments from a cross examination or from a witness being Morales shows that she never wanted being asked or discuss things with Cuevas on matters proceeding to the defendants standpoint. Much more the senate/ president is biased towards the prosecution and their witnesses. Senator Miriam has disagreed most of this proceedings including her not guilty verdict which is for a much higher intellectual understanding of the law compared to this people in the senate.

i think ombudsman clearly explained already why it's not anymore 'uso' to use a passbook.. second opinion is if it happened that you are still bringing with you your passbook when you go to a bank and withdraw/deposit, it is just okay, but you are 'overdoing' it actually.. Logic: you are being issued a receipt already why still bring passbook/bankbook? simple as that..

She is. Around 40 years in the practice of law and also almost a decade in service as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. She is definitely no pushover din. Both are very sharp.
