It's so annoying that Cambridge have increased their entry requirements. Computer Science was A*AA but it's now A*A*A

Most people on that course will probably have got straight A*'s anyway. Even I got A*A*A*A but got rejected at interviews, so it didn't even matter.

most people ive met on comsci math and natsci have 3 or 4a*s, i have 4A*s for natsci and that is considered normal
alex cons Yep! But I think as long as you manage to get past the interviews and get an offer, you should have to motivation to study hard and get the requirements. I sort of slacked off at the end of the year because I knew all I needed for Warwick Uni was AAA.
Nice retainer. I still have my braces, not sure when they will be taken off for good. I heard you have to wear a retainer for 12 hours a day (most people wear it when sleeping). Also noticed that your face is more angular compared to when you were still a student at Camz.
1:43 "I hope you got loads of free pizza whilst you were there" Oh yes, I don't know about previous years, but this year pizza hut were giving out vouchers and Dominos were exchanging a pizza hut voucher for two slices of pizza. Me and a friend went both days and probably got close to 20 slices between us. There were also Dominos vouchers for £1 small pepperoni which I had for lunch today.

No-name not-a-person I got extra pizza on the second day too... Although I had 4 bags with 4 vouchers, which should have been 16 slices, but was only 5.
I've just sent off my UCAS application to study computer science at Cambridge and Queens is my top choice for college! Hopefully I'll get an interview!

Just started studying engineering at Cambridge! Completely relating to how weird it is settling in here. First lectures started yesterday so not quite had the full experience of the workload yet but it's certainly starting to dawn on me just how bad it's gonna get...

Amitjit Singh I walk through Kings every day! Really pretty college. I guess my tips would be that if you get an interview to do as many questions from iwanttostudyengineering.com as you can to get you in the right mindset - use them to practise saying your thinking out loud and try and use hints to work through the problem - you won't get the same question come up in your interview but if you can show your perseverance and decent fundamental understanding that's a good interview
killpotato3 engineering is definitely a lot of work, very heavily theory based (don't be thinking you'll do a different project every week!), but certainly in the first term you can quite easily go out 2 nights a week

would you consider I do computer science without even do a level computer science. I'm doing my as levels and my subjects are maths, economics, business and accounting. I want to do an accounting and finance, with computer science course at uni. bit concerned that i shouldn't do compsci since you got a 2:1 at Cambridge with the fact that you done a level computing and you got an A*.

I got 8A*s and 3A's in GCSEs.
But I can't handle A levels. Any advice
don't take anything for granted! gcses are a breeze compared to a-levels, and its possible to ace them with the bare minimum of revision, but for a-levels, make sure you use your time wisely. if you have a free period, spend it reading over your notes. it's all about details, and how well you know the content. catch up on work in your own time, and don't rely on teachers to do it for you! (I spent a lot of year 13 doing this, and ended up regretting it!) but do relax. a-levels were the toughest thing i'd done up until that point, and i did a lot of things wrong, but I made it to cambridge in the end, and now that I'm here, I still have a lot to learn about work ethics and how to apportion time to everything, but it's all a process. best of luck with your a-levels!!:)

At May i will be examined in order to get the Proficiency paper in English and because of my young age, my teacher told me that if I can get a mark above A- then I will have a good chance of going to high school in England and if i do really well then maybe be offered a scholarship for Cambridge University. At first, i obviously had second thoughts but seeing you having a wonderful time there I really want to go and even though it will be the toughest thing I've ever done I think i might do it . Thanks;)
