oh gosh, I work in a daycare and now I understand why some kids act the way they do... it doesn't hurt to teach them NOT to yell at adults and it certainly doesn't hurt to show them to go outside with permission. She can speak very clearly therefore she can understand simple rules.

You don't have the safety lock high enough. She can already reach it, barely, but she can reach it. How long before she can open it too? It needs to be put very high so she can't even pull a chair there to open it.

I said that in my post it should be all the way at the top she'll just get a chair and stand up on it and get out they won't hear her leave her bedroom when they're down the basement... That whole door is glass easy for a break in June and me kids get taken from the home I don't care how many guns you have in the house but a 3-year-old on the floor that you won't hear her and she gets out or something happens and you can't find her what are you going to do think of the long-term not just the short-term because if there's one way there's another and when she tried the living room door and couldn't get out she said I'm going downstairs your basement has a door and I would advise all of you to do the same for your windows fire safe of course but also childproof an adult proof... I've never seen a child that runs the house more than the parents do I don't care if it's the first child second 100 this is the serious problem and she needs to be around children her own age like in pre-k as soon as possible she will learn how to share how to give everything all she is is around adults and if you think about this....
If Mammaw was still alive do you think she would let this crap happen hell no because she was a teacher and she listened to her both of you step up your games the other kids turned out great so I don't know what the problem is Amy it's not just all Justin it takes two to tango and two to do the horizontal Mambo for the terrible threes I never thought to be such a thing only thought there was terrible twos but with her you're going to have terrible twos, threes, fours, fives, 6, 7, 8, 9 I think you get the point! At 12:23 just after she learns that she cannot open the door with the new lock on (till she learns to pull up a chair or grows 2"), Lakelynn is frustrated enough to try to slap Justin with her right arm and he laughs at her rather than correcting her behavior or speaking with her about it. The more her negative behaviors are ignored, the worse they're going to get when she's older. It won't be so cute when she's in middle school and trying to slap folks in the face when she's angry/frustrated.
When she turns 7 and you take the pacifier, you should make a surprise video!!

They created it. My son at that age would have dropped that plastic the moment I said to stop and if he didn't he would have gotten punished. The way she pulled on it when Justin tried to get it would have been an instant sp-nking, had zero tolerance for that behavor. My jaw dropped how they just let her have a piece of it. Forget about the boss baby stuff she's not too young to still be corrected in a proper manner I can tell you for a fact from one of my friends experiences her toddler acted like that too and I told her if you don't get control of her you're going to have a 15 year old with their finger in your face and that is exactly what happened you've got to discipline the child give her perimeters give her routine set boundaries or your life is not going to be very much fun and any and all the money that you've made now and for the future and saved you're probably going to be spending on getting her out of jail not trying to be mean but I've seen it too many times

Ok well I would put the new locks way up the door because soon she will open it. You don't want something real bad to happen to Blake. She rules you guys so much. You need to make rules for her and stick to them. Its going to be bad when she gets older. She has anger issues when she doesn't get her ways.
Going to have to install some door locks that she can't figure out and higher up too. Maybe a deadbolt where you can use a key on the inside and outside of the doors. I have a feeling the way kids are getting so smart that she will figure out the door stoppers you installed Justin.

Install deadbolts on those doors that are made for doors with windows in the and the problem goes away without the need for extra hardware. Exterior doors with glass in them typically have a deadbolt that is keyed from both sides...the idea is that if someone were to break the doors window, they can't just reach thru it and unlock the deadbolt, they would still need a key to get the door open. Put those style locks on the doors, put ur keys someplace she can't get to them, or in ur pocket, etc., and you're all set. Then ytall could actually leave the house and childproof the door for yourself from the outside rather than having to call on someone else from inside the house to come secure the door for you. Voila..
