Found it surprising when I found out that this song is about suicide.....some deep stuff.
It's not typically about suicide. It's just about death in general, I take it as one person of a couple or a close friendship died and the other was left in sadness and rage, hence the term "dance with the devil."
Either that or someone is about to die and they are talking about staring death in the face.

I will say this this is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. I will admit I’ve sinned quite a bit and I still have a few more dances with the devil to go. But I guess that’s what happens when you pretty much make a deal with the devil to keep someone you love alive.
