The whole song is in the perception of Mathew, Stan’s little brother, he basically talks about how he’s spent his entire life plotting revenge on Em

And he had his hair dyed blonde at the funeral.
This literally happened in real life , a guy called Mathew invaded Eminem's home and got to Eminem face to face.

The first verse was supposed to be a double entendre of a girl being heartbroken by Em and looking for revenge, then you find out it's Mathew. Em did say that's very hard to make songs with twists like that on this era because Twitter and other social media spoil the ending for the clicks😢

The last verse of this song was voted in a list of top verses of the decade. It’s a complete and total self reflection of his life and music career and a little remorse for some of his lyrics and people he hurt. Basically he’s dissing himself and pondering the future when his career is over.

@@TheOfficialAshleyReacts Lots of people miss it the first time, it's pretty subtle! The story is left purposefully ambiguous throughout most of the track until "I'm gonna bury you next to my brother." There's hints in there, but he doesn't even say "I'm STAN'S brother" outright lol

@@absent72 He also says they have the same initials, Marshall Mathers (Eminem) and Mathew Mitchel (Stan's little brother, Stan was Stanley Mitchel). That's another hint. Casual listeners just don't remember all that background info.
