www.patreon.com/icecoachonline To celebrate Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we have released some exclusive content on our Patreon page, available for everyone to watch! Ice Coach Online, bringing cyber teaching to your device!
We recommend watching the backward pump video before this one. Then after moving onto the backward crossover video afterwards! Any questions, let us know!
Thank you so much for your videos, so well explained and detailed, love the common mistakes section as I can recognise what it is that I should be correcting. I will be practising these chasses as I am not very confident going backwards. 💙⛸
That's unusual, I have never seen it taught like that. When the leg you pick up to "chasse" extends backwards instead of keeping it close to the skating leg, we call it a "backward slip chasse".

Wow I’m always so early to seeing your videos, 8 minutes ago it was posted. Anyways tysm I have been trying to learn these
You are quick to watch, we appreciate the support. We hope the video helps you learn them and improve. Let us know how it goes :)
When you are on one foot, is it a flat or outside edge?
If it's the first part of the Chasse, it should be an outside edge. Then you change to the other foot on an inside edge.
We do our backward chassis with the outside leg extending behind. Your way is much easier but... I am not allowed to 'get away' with it :(

Backward chassés are so hard...
If you are struggling, you can watch our video on backward pumps. The technique in that video can help with the backward chasses.
