So just an idea for when you make this on the actual HC server: if you face the top of a furnace facing outward, it'll blend in much nicer with the surrounding stone than using a blast furnace. :-)
Too bad you can't place furnaces sideways so that the top will face outwards. But still, the back of a regular furnace would be less noticeable than the blast furnace. Leaf blocks would work too, as they're also non movable and will blend well with the overall look of the mountain.

Then it's just a matter of conveying the signal quick enough (which shouldn't be too difficult using either a chain of observer or a chain of sticky piston+redstone blocks )
You should add a custom music disc for the waterfall so it sounds like a waterfall; it would so cool (EDIT: or make a resource pack for flowing water, but that would get annoying outside your base, so maybe change something unused and place it near your base (such as changing the dispenser fail sound and placing a bunch of them by the waterfall)).
Now imagine if you could hook up skulk sensors so that the door automatically opens as you approach flying in, and then closes behind (probably just a certain delay)- absolute insanity

Use a 5 by 5 block of target blocks as the activation trigger. That way while flying you can shoot an arrow into it a fly into the base without having to land.
You should modify the bottom so that you can ride a boat in and out when the door is open, should be a minor change as water doesn't stick to slime or honey blocks, and could make for a cool water themed interior.
As we can see here the wild grian seems to be coverd in arrows some people may think that the grian just came back from caving to expand the spawning rates on his creeper farm

last season b dubs had a waterfall in his mountain/cliff but to bring it to life he added glass panes to act as if it is splashing at the bottom and i think this would look perfect in your build 👍
If you ever need to queue a whole bunch of videos, it'd be amazing to see a short series of "failed redstone ideas" videos where you take the footage from redstone projects that didn't work out and put several of them in one vid. It's be great to learn what doesn't work as much as what does!
you could even expand this by finding ways to make some of them work (maybe an update made an old idea possible, or if the concept is changed slightly it works, plus mumbo is better at redstone now than however many years ago)

The problem with wires would be that anyone who (accidentally) flies through would open the base. I have a feeling mumbo will want to do something secret. Like the vault passcode from last hermitcraft season.
I wonder how long it will take Mumbo to realize that without a back to his mountain, this cool door of his will be pretty much pointless and the whole aesthetic will be ruined.

last season b dubs had a waterfall in his mountain/cliff but to bring it to life he added glass panes to act as if it is splashing at the bottom and i think this would look perfect in your build 👍

If you ever need to queue a whole bunch of videos, it'd be amazing to see a short series of "failed redstone ideas" videos where you take the footage from redstone projects that didn't work out and put several of them in one vid. It's be great to learn what doesn't work as much as what does!
you could even expand this by finding ways to make some of them work (maybe an update made an old idea possible, or if the concept is changed slightly it works, plus mumbo is better at redstone now than however many years ago)

Try adding wire, so when you fly with elytra the door opens and close automatically without any buttons. Kinda like what you did for the boatem meeting room
Also, the shape of his base allows for a perfect wire placement

The problem with wires would be that anyone who (accidentally) flies through would open the base. I have a feeling mumbo will want to do something secret. Like the vault passcode from last hermitcraft season.
thats a huge door for steve xd i would say make it little bit lower to make it kinda hidden and just big enough for a minecraft player
