I was a teacher, loved my students, and loved my job. It really was a labor of love to get to know each student personally, to encourage their strengths, and to help them improve their weaknesses. Most important was to help them to gain confidence to face the world and its challenges.

I had a very nice teacher who understood my autism. I thank Jesus for mister de Wit. After work as a mail deliverer I often ride near my old primairy school.
When I got a psychoses because my mother died and after I been abused by a busdriver on a school trip to London he visited me in the psychiatric ward.
I never forgot Mister Johan de Wit. I am still thankful.

      I'm 63 and can name a teacher that made a difference .
Eugene Kelly Northeast high school 1977 .
In his blackboard . There is no such thing as a free lunch . Some one has to pay for it .
Mr. Kelly would wear shorts daily , long hair , long beard , . He would drive a Porsche 914 orange in color .
Very liberal in a way . Myself conservative and I remember his face as it was just yesterday .
I'm sure there is a boy you made a mark on . And everyday a young boy or girl thinks of you .
      I married a ' special ed' teacher .

Military, manufacturing, industrial maintenance & welding, to include special welding processes, & even working on antique equipment especially steam powered machines; which is also my hobby. Work of this type shouldn’t be frowned upon. Soon there won’t be any of us left….

Here in Scotland it's a great job fixing cars so's people can get around for holidays, work, or just going out for a lovely drive up the hills, etc! What's wrong with Americans?? Looking in it's such a weird nation!! Glad I don't live there; I'm in a civilised country, thanks be to God!!!

Too maany years ago to remember, my history teacher was one of those teachers who had forgotten that history is full of people making that history. Everyone knows or should know, that the Battle of Hasting occuured around 1066, but what was the reason behind it, and who were the actors in that battle ?. What effect did the outcome have on the everyday lives of the people living and working at that time ?. Battle of Hastings, 1066, and that's as much as the history teacher had to teach. There was no wonder that students lost interest in the goings on of the past, no sense of adventure, no thought about the men who fought in that conflict and died horrible deaths because of one man's ambition and greed. The first to die should always be the ones who call for war. The only light thing that gave us pause for thought was the joke, " Somebody tell those archers to be careful where they are shooting, they'll have somebody's eye out.....AAAAAAAR"
