This is why I have issues with the government. Since the quarantine lifted, I had convinced myself Covid wasn't as bad as it was because of the ebola outbreak years ago. The media stated that someone had ebola in the country, but there was no quarantine. The ebola virus could be in your body for 30 days before any symptoms show, just like any virus. That's 30 days of infecting anyone around you. I thought either nobody had ebola, and it was the media jumping on that train, or Covid wasn't as bad as what they made it seem. However, at the time of Covid, I did think that it could've been used as some sort of population control. I know it really affected the elderly, children, anyone with immune deficiencies, and those already fighting off infections and diseases, and that's why so many lost their lives. I'm not the sort of person to do what I want because of what I might believe. I stuck to the rules by wearing masks, keeping my distance, and I've always washed my hands a lot. I knew people's lives could still be at risk as it was like the flu, and we all know some people struggle when they have the flu, especially the elderly. It really goes to show you have to keep an open mind when it concerns the government and the media.
