the new Diana jumbo mini tote is beautiful. however Gucci is a brand id always buy on a lower price point as I find YSL & LV have bags of better quality and versatility
Personally, I think the Marmont emblem has been overplayed, no matter how they spin the new styles. The other top handle in comparison is very stylish and understated! Great video - many thanks x
I can highly recommend the 1955 Horsebit mini bag. It comes with two straps and is super versatile. The nylon strap can be shortened and used like a bumbag which is how I usually wear it. But the leather strap is nice too. I have the monogram brown version (leather is coated so very durable) and it goes with everything. The hardware is stunning. I purchased the Pochette Métis over the larger size 1955 over a year ago but this is perfect - much smaller, about the same size as a Chanel mini rectangular but fits a lot more. Can’t recommend this enough.
@@merloveslux honestly, if all my bags went away I’d 100% still rebuy it because I use it all the time. For example, I have a Pochette Metis and use this waaaay more. I think this is way better constructed (better quality) and has a lot more leather so I would definitely choose the Gucci over the PM. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and it has held up incredibly- it looks brand new. To me it is super versatile and looks very luxurious and I love that it isn’t something that everyone else has.
I really appreciate your input! I’ve been contemplating a Gucci bag and I really liked that one the most but couldn’t figure out why the price point was so high! I was actually debating the bumbag with the fabric strap instead but you make a great point that you can make the horsebit bag more versatile!
@@merloveslux not sure if you were able to find them in the store to compare but I think the Horsebit bag is a lot more substantial of a bag than the bumbag, thus the lower price point. But they both are very nice so it’s about what works for you, and what you are looking for in a bag. Hope you find the best solution for your lifestyle ☺️💜

My most recent purchase was from the bamboo collection and what sold me was not only its uniqueness, but I’ve heard amazing things about the longevity of the bamboo handles ! I WILL say the mini pouch you’ve mentioned is one of my favorites that I own looks wise, but it never really “fully” closes, so just be careful about spilling things out of it ! 😊

These are your opinions on bags that you like as opposed to the best and worst which is fine, but we all have different tastes. I have 2 Gucci bags. The neo supreme camera bag which is my favourite bag ever and the super mini marmont that I use for special occasions. Both are amazing quality, far surpassing LV in my opinion. I would go for the top handle marmont as the leather is so supple and soft.

Gucci bamboo is totally amazing. The leather straps on the Diana wouldn’t be to stop them deforming, they don’t deform. They are also finished with a metal strap to keep them curved to the bag. I have multiple vintage Gucci’s with bamboo and the handles are perfect. They don’t get damaged from use, being held etc. that shouldn’t be an issue at all on a Gucci bamboo handle.
They do deform with time, that's why the Diana also comes with a plastic strap to keep on the handle when is stored. But it depends on the climate and environment, here is Brazil is very common that bamboo handles on vintage gucci bags will be way less arched than they initially were, because of the humid climate.
I have a Ophidia camera bag and I love it. It holds everything I need. I have had a few leather bags even though the leather is beautiful in some of the older bags a large Marmont they can be very heavy.

just from designer bags in general, I've never liked ones that are too "statement" unless it's in someones complete aesthetic because they tend to not be versatile enough even if you're made of money it still feels like a waste if not much use comes from them. [also includes ultra small bags that aren't a purse or so thin that a phone bulks it up]

I like all of your choices and dislike all of your NOs as well. The only concern I would have would be the zip tote had the strap connected diagonally to the handles like the LV Alma which I personally hate so I would never buy another bag like that. I only have one Gucci bag, the Arabesque crossbody in black. I bought it preloved and really like it but have t used it yet 😬. Good luck with your choice, I like the Marmont bags but according to “everyone” they are totally out.

I really can’t get on board with Gucci no matter how hard I try. I think it’s because they are very out there designs and I prefer subtle designs as they are easier to style. Out of the two I would say the top handle would be a better choice
I absolutely love Gucci. I love the fact they were the first to stop using animal fur, they didn't have too, they have a big enough market with countries that don't care. For that they should be supported, i also think they have a good range of prices unlike some! Love them. I don't know what bag to get though, as this would be my very first ever lux bag, this has helped, thank you :)
