Nice job on the leather install. You can repair the hole in the side of the seat by making a patch from the old leather seats. First glue a patch that is larger than the hole to the inside of the leather skin. I used a piece of vinyl for this but you could also use a piece of leather. Then carefully cut a leather piece that will fit into the hole and glue it to the inner patch. The result will not be perfect but much better than a large hole.
A tip for reinstalling those S clips. I used a dremel to cut a slot in the side of a slotted screwdriver head. This creates a tool which you can slip through the back of the seat frame, grab the clip in the slot, and pull it through and engage it to the frame wires, significantly easing the install of these clips.

great job man - it does look great. My only suggestion is to try to find some way to stabilize that slit in the leather that tore a bit further already. I assume each time your back presses on the seat it pulls on that a little bit and it would suck if it continued to grow. Not sure the best solution... maybe a leather repair glue would hold it since it isn't a high stress area?

Hi, great video as always! Do you have any idea how to install yellow led sidelight in Saab 93 2011? There are 3 small led place in the headlights, but in my case there is no leds in them. I saw a 93 before with those side leds and looked very nice. Thanks, Tom

I don't know about these older ones, but I have never heard of a failing electric seat in a SAAB.
Some new grease in the gears and it would probably be like new ;)

Replacement seats look great! They look the age of your SAAB but not rundown. 2 questions. Did you replace the seat heater? Do the replacement seats have the tag on the headrest that says it is leather from Scotland?
thank you! I did not replace the seat heater during this. as far as I can see, there's no tag on the new headrests, but the old ones had a tag
I mention the seat heater because I used mine a lot here in the Northeast and it dried out the seat cushion. Also, on my SAAB when I used the heater control, the passenger seat heater started automatically at level 2. Just my curiosity, did you see passenger seat heater on your old seats?

dude after all this work, i wouldnt drive this thing on the road with the drivers out there right now. I am almost certain there is some sort of conspiracy to license more drivers in order to increase the volume of cars sold and insurance sold. there was a spike in accidents in 2016 when they removed paralell parking from the test in my state. since then, i have been involved in 2 total loss accidents not my fault and one of which was a stage 1 9-3 aero saab that insurance refused to pay current market value for. i would avoid weekends if i were you. stick to mon-thursday mornings. lots of old people flying around town too.

@@AutoAutopsy I understand, i was the same way and had some good times while they lasted. I guess you are better off since your cars are mostly stock. I built an unlocked and heavily modded sleeper so it was a bit different. I find it unusual how the owner of my tune's company got his shop shut down by the epa right before my unusual accident occured. kind of seems tinfoil hat worthy if you ask me. check out brew city boost.
