At 28:13 when you said, “what the heck” that was funny. But they shouldn’t have put that 270 SPO in the wall like that. That should only be for key lock lock pull stations, not for screw pulls. But I love this video. Thanks Nic
@@nics-systems-electric apparently the HVAC had water in the vents and it leaked into the smoke detectors and put system into alarm and it wouldn’t silence! So now we have to replace the system now!
Awesome vintage 90's system..most of the 439Ds have aged well and still sound pristine...just that pull station in the gym...who the hay mounts a station guard directly above the top of the access screw/key? Plus the bells in those fan rooms OUCH! Too close for comfort. Love the work you do on these sites Nic? The school district is VERY fortunate to have you. You are always very thorough in your testing. One thing I always wondered though; Are the majority of missing glass rods because some kid pulled it and they forgot to replace it or do they just fall out over time?
Thanks. Probably a Carpenter mounted it not realizing how you open them the roads seem to be usually missing from being pulled or being hit with something
hey o 15 years in building maintenance morbid curiosity on the way to being an electrician or are you the youngest spark electrician w/fire systems?? regardless loving the vids
I’m not an electrician yet still in school and working under my school district journeyman electricians for work experience and possible first year apprenticeship
addressable-pointn't
"Why do you want an adressable pull station? We have one at home"
The pull station at home : monitor card go brrr
Nice alarms

Man the person who installed that did not remotely know what the hell they were doing
@@KanoaDeCastro you’re right, they should’ve known what they were doing while in that pull station to the system
Bruh, one of my dorms at my school had to replace the entire system besides the Advances! It’s a Fire-Lite system now!
Interesting

Was this system upgraded at some point?
Yes
Cool.
That panel exists?!
Yes
What did your coworker say when you said "Don't do it, it will blow!"

It's a fixed temperature heat detector. If you activate it, the detector will permanently latch into alarm.
@@Twentythree33 how do you know if it permanently latches?
The disc will pop off and the system won't reset.
@@Twentythree33 BOOM!
