    "I hope you find this useful" is always your sentence at the end of your videos. I find it much more than useful 😉, always on the spot and easy to understand. Your explanation about the differences between the chart types was really helpful as well as the techniques. I learned so much. Thank you.

    Hi,
    Please prepare a video regarding below points:
    1. How to create a chart with carved lines.
    2. How to display min & max value of Trending line

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  3 года назад +1

      I try to avoid the curved/smoothed line setting because the line often dips above/below the actual point and can be misleading. There's no automatic setting to display the min and max of a trendline.

    Thanks. I'm wondering if next time you could start from the wizard. Trying to re-create your features from the wizard created report was challenging. Also I had to stop and go back on numerous occasions to see where you clicked and added some elements. For example when you added a text box. You just added it out of thin air. It took me quite a while to figure out that one.

    Thank you for all these great videos ! Super job :) I have one question and hope you'll be able to help : I'm working in retails and would need to compare yearly data based on their day of week. As an example will be easier to explain, I'm willing to compare the sales on let's say 1st April 2022 (which will be a Friday) vs the same Friday in 2019 (that was 5th April). At the moment, I've managed to get data by dates but it is only comparing to the same date year over year.
    Thank you in advance :)

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  2 года назад

      You’re welcome 😊 You’ll need to add a column that gives each date its day of the year number and then use that column to make the comparisons.

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  2 года назад

      Hi Michael, if you're using PivotTables then you'd need to add a column to your source data to classify the dates into their fiscal periods as explained here: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-slicers-for-fiscal-years

    Hello, could you please advise me on how to add a calculated field in a pivot table -> what %Of one field is another field, and to change the calculation of the percentages in order them to be accurately positive or negative if the two initial values are negative(as excel is not calculating them corrrectly)?

    • @stephanievulcheva8125
      @stephanievulcheva8125 3 года назад

      i mean on your pivot, if you had negative balance for the same month of two years you would see the calculation is wrong.

    Is there a way to have a chart to show the current year seasonality compared to a certain period e.g. 10 years? Thanks.

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  2 года назад

      I'm sure there is, Jaime. You just need to gather the data you want in the chart and it will display it. You could do this by tagging rows in the source data with an attribute and then you could reference that attribute as a filter. If you get stuck, post your question and sample Excel file on our forum where we can help you further: www.myonlinetraininghub.com/excel-forum

    How would you do a line chart but with multiple measures, say Revenue and Profit for instance? I can compare those for one year, but when trying to compare them year over year it gets pretty convoluted.

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  10 месяцев назад

      If you're looking at multiple measures, then it might be better to have the time axis continuous, i.e. from one year to the next, rather than multiple lines for each year.

    This is a different subject matter but your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    I know how to set the scroll area so I won't fly down to row 1245. How do I save these changes. Whenever I close the workbook, the scroll range is deleted.

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  3 года назад

      If you're setting the scroll area in the worksheet properties via the Developer tab then it should stick. I guess you could try saving the file as a .xlsm and see if that helps. I've not tested it to be honest.

    I need a help, As we know Excel can load only 1,048,576 rows, but my power pivot table result need more than 2 millions of rows, that's why I don't load it in the general excel by power pivot, so I need to make the output into a CVS file. how can I do it....?

    • @MyOnlineTrainingHub
      @MyOnlineTrainingHub  3 года назад

      You'd need to use VBA for this. You could try copying and pasting the Power Pivot table to the CSV, but that's a lot of data to store on the clipboard and your PC might not like it.
