    Even though those INT’s were practically given to Revis, you can’t take away his ability to sniff out the ball in this game. On top of that, Steve Smith wasn’t setup for success in this game by Jake. You can’t judge either of these ballers based off this one matchup.

    The ball skills by Revis are just ridiculous look at 2:24 - 2:32 thats how you squeeze to a receiver then high point the ball beautiful

    • @nflmatchuphighlights
      @nflmatchuphighlights  5 лет назад +17

      im here with intent It was almost perfect technique. He did great at squeezing Smith to the sideline, although at 2:50 when Smith and Revis are hand fighting, Smith does get a step or step and a half on top of Revis. Fortunately for Revis the ball was under thrown. But props to Revis for going up and getting the ball at the highest point against Steve Smith. Smith was one of the most competitive and toughest receivers to guard at the catch point despite being just 5’9. Revis challenged Smith about as much as anyone else has in Smith’s career.

    • @TheBeigeBoxer
      @TheBeigeBoxer 5 лет назад

      NFL Matchup Highlights right, he was beat. Should’ve been a completion with a better throw. A TD is the pass was dropped in at the right place and time. Def an under thrown pass that Revis took advantage of.

      footba11fan41ife False. The green grass in front of the receiver would’ve been a good option. He had 2 steps on Revis. The Ball was under thrown and inside. NFL QBs make this throw all the time. If Delhome threw it short but over Smith’s outside shoulder it would probably just be incomplete, but short and inside is a pick on the QB.

      @@deshawnallen1153 Islands named after Woodson: 0
      Charles was very good. Versatile and played well late in his career. Ill still take Revis. He followed every teams best wr and often dominated them for years in a row. Woodson for all his stats did not do that. Revis has the 2nd lowest completion % over a decade at less than 50%, 2nd only to Sherman, and that's only by 0.3% and keep in mind Sherm had 2 other all pros back there covering his ass. Revis did most of his work in cover 0 which teams rarely let any DB do, hence the name " island"
      Finally, everyone is entitled to their opinion but I promise you're the only one singing that song for Woodson vs Revis. The eyeball test says revis is arguably the best pure cover corner ever, better than Charles. He dominated the NFL'S best for quite some time, and literally took away half the field by himself. He often dominated the best WRs of the era. Moss, Owen's, Ocho, Dez, Fitz, Wayne, megatron. The stats versus those players backs that up.
      I'll give Woodson the edge on versatility, but in their prime and super bowl on the line I'll take revis and his ability to essentially erase the opposing teams #1 consistently.
      I'll take Revis, thank you very much 😎

      Robert Cunningham Yeah, I don’t see that. Pause the video at 2:27 that’s separation Smith made between him and Revis and by the amount of air underneath the ball you can tell this was a go route. If this ball is place where it needed to be in front of Smith this is a catch. What route would someone be running for a QB to lob it that much. Smith damn near stopped running so the ball could get to him Revis took advantage of a severely under thrown ball
