Love ❤️ it ❤😊 I’m retired Vet. In the army for 24! In my deployments we worked with the K-9 units and loved every minute of it! Love dogs 🐕 ❤😊
Congrats and keep up the great job 👏 ❤😊🙏🏻
Very good content... If I could make a suggestion...Make a much longer video please. I know I would like to see a lot more of your dog and i'm sure there are many more people out there who might feel the same way. I think 3 to 5 minutes would be ideal. Continue to show different aspects of training. Or another day in the life of...You and your dog.
Very very nice
Interesting that he has his tail docked, awesome dog regardless
Current army handler here. At my kennels we have a couple dogs with docked tails due to self induced trauma where a part of their tail bone breaks. The army doesn’t dock tails for aesthetics, strictly medical!
@@user-zp3tp9yp6v interesting information thank you for sharing
Are there different MOS's for being and handler and deploying with the dog, and just training the dogs?
You can be a dog handler as a 12B, combat engineer. 12BK9, Combat Engineer Mine Detection Dog handler.
Do you get to name your dog or rename it?
I’m joining the army in a couple of months, and I was looking at this MOS but I still don’t have a lot of information and I was wondering if there was any requirements for this MOS? Like for example could I come right out of basic training and starting doing 31k?
Yep, as long as you qualify for it with your ASVAB grade
Current army handler here. On requirement I believe is an ST score of 92 or above on the asvab. If you sign your contract to be a dog handler then yes you will go immediately into that after basic
@@IzzyMartinez01 I don’t know lol.
@@user-zp3tp9yp6vwow your a dog handler I want to be one really bad to you enjoy the job??
@@user-zp3tp9yp6v Quick question how long was your contract?
I got work working line
And do you get to keep the dog after completing your years of serving?
Depends, some dogs are retired some not, it’s not really your dog. It’s owned by the Us Army
No
Do you ever have to go in combat?
You literally go out and have the dog sniff for bombs. No ones getting combat deployments anymore though
Yes (my cousin) she was deployed in Afghanistan
How competitive is ait?
Ait is not that competitive. The tests you have to pass are not difficult
@@user-zp3tp9yp6v Are you a handler if so I have a couple questions?
