I just don't understand the hate, it sounds great to me. And the bonus is that little practice amp sitting in the corner of your bedroom is gonna look that much cooler thanks to the Marshall logo emblazoned across the front of it. The sort of little thing that puts a smile on your face. Fact is, this amp was made for people like me with not the time, budget, or knowledge to take this shit too seriously, people with more knowledge and chops hate it because it flat out wasn't designed for them. Plus I guess they have the ears and experience to actually hear something bad that I can't. I guess.
Yep, I wish I'd have had something like this when I started to play 30 years ago. I use the Code 25 with footswitch as practice amp at home and it fills all my needs. Actually I don't use the mobile app because it would need me to switch glasses. I prefer to connect the amp via USB to the computer and just use the Internet Browser to switch between presets, or to create own ones
This is one of those videos to shut the mouth of those guys who love to throw stones on the Marshall Code line here on youtube. Even Johan Segeborn, a Marshall tube guru in my opinion, did a decent demonstration on this same Code 25. It is difficult for purists to accept that the future and portability have arrived, and Marshall is following this trend. Very well done, congratulations on the excellent video!
To be honest, you could record a studio album on this code and the same album with the high end, and fully produced up, the nesayers wouldn't be able to pick which album was what.
I just watched his video and he gets a good sound by cranking the Volume and Master all the way up and close mic the speaker. Sounds decent like that but of course it’s extremely loud.

Is it a good amp for playing at low volume like in the bedroom? I've been doing a lot of searching and this one seems to be really good for the price and you get a lot of options with the app to change to different sounds. But I only intend to play relatively silent in my room. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Yeh I'd say it shines at low volumes using it's internal speaker. If you get one, use some of the Presets on my Marshall then tweak from there 👍The presets it comes loaded with are a bit full on (they are trying to showcase all the fx etc.)

Hi! I live in an apartment and I am trying to decide if I get the 25w or the 50w version. I really prefer the screen on the 50w model plus the 12” speaker, but I am concerned about playing in the apartment. If I buy the code 50, Can I increase the master volume and adjust the volume on each preset, so I can play my guitar at low volumes without disturbing neighbors and without loosing tone?
Hey, Yes, I'd go Code 50. You can control it really in depth with your phone and keep the volume low, since it's digital it sounds the same at low volumes to high 👍
i've had a code 50 for 3 years now. and still love it. You just gotta make your own presets and tweak them. Hey, it's a combination of the guitar and the amp, mostly amp. I'm using a Telecaster style guitar on the neck pickup. Any Tele style guitar should get pretty similar sounds with this amp if you copy all the settings I flash on screen. Yes, you can get this sort of tone from other amps and guitars, as long as you use a guitar with single coil pickups and a clean set amp with built in Reverb + Delay 👍
Both good choices. The Marshall is great if you like the classic Marshall sound and love to tweak everything. The Nux has less options but is still very versatile. Just have a listen and see which you prefer 👍
