      I’ve always liked Mal better than Angus, when it comes to those two together I think Angus gets overrated and Mal doesn’t get enough credit

      criminally underrated for what he brought to the AC/DC and he was so humble about it his abilities. His ryrhym playing abilities were perfection. Do I miss Malcom? Only everytime I listen to AC/DC.

    What’s funny to me is, playing without distortion, shortly after you bring in the G-string and get up to about half speed, it sounds to me like more of a Country song than AC/DC. I love it!

      Yep it’s a bluegrass picking pattern really. Accept with a pick and no fingers. I actually find it easier to play with fingers only lol.

    I cant even figure out how it is physically possible to strum an individual string and not all of them with every strum! 🥴

      Just start really slowly 1 string at a time and then slowly bring up your speed.. You must keep going over and over the same section of the song and eventually it will happen. Never practice like that in front of anyone either as it will drive them nuts.. 🎸

    I’ve never heard anyone get the beginning of Gimme a bullet right. Only Malcolm can get the right sound. Harder than it looks.

    Hi mate, great job as always. One thing though (in good spirit ) I almost cried for you when I saw that nylon pick you are using. They have got to go! Malcolm used Fender 351 Celluloid Heavy picks and go further than people think towards his trademark tone. Kick arse video man!

      No worries mate. They are harmonic even to tap on any hard surface. Unfortunately they dont last as long as they turn to dust but I'll never go back to Nylon! Let me know what you think if you end up getting some. Or even better I'll post you some. RIP Malcolm....

      Many people don't realize that getting a certain sound with certain strings & pickups are only half the battle. That's where the picks are the other half for a specific sound.

      Thanks Dude, Gretsch G6128T-1962. It was a reissue that went out of production in 2016 from what I understand. I bought it in 2015

      That was years ago so don’t really remember. It’s not the amp but the software on the computer I was using back then. Sorry I can’t help anymore than that. I think I fed a clean signal into the computer using a D.I box and the DAW did the rest, I just went for something that sounded ok

      I can’t remember how long it took, but I remember slowing the track down to about 60% to really hear what he was playing. Donington was deleted by Y.T along with about 60 other videos I did. I also have a channel on Dailymotion www.dailymotion.com/search/Acdc%20just%20the%20best/videos they also blocked Thunderstruck Donington but there is Thunderstruck No Bull. Cheers
