There's a Reddit group for this, too. It's pretty fascinating. There are some internet detectives out there that should apply to the FBI. To figure out, just from the shape, the year it came out and the packaging...just WTF? A terrorist cell wouldn't stand a chance.
B is a butterfly from the side C is a snail, D is a flying dove. I'm not positive what A is. It could be a manger, or house with snow, or garland at the bottom. It could be mountains, & bushes at the bottom. Cookie cutters can be used in any way your imagination can take you!
Dang. I was dead-sure D was a candle in a candleholder, but now I can see the dove too. My world has been turned upside like that butterfly cookie cutter
According to a reddit post I saw, A is supposed to be a slice of pie, but it's bent. Turn the shape around so that the rounded section is on top and that is the crust. Personally, I don't see it, but that's what the agreed ID was.
A is "love" with 2 hearts, its upside down and the wrong way round. B is a butterfly (i got it on amazon as a pack lol) C is a snail i think? D is dove/bird also the wrong way round
Thank goodness! I got the last 2 right! I thought A. Could also be like...a house with bushes in front and all.😅 I had ZERO clue WHAT B. couldve been...but a butterfly?! I never saw that coming honestly 😂❤
That sounds right to me, but it now raises the question of why anybody would want something snail-shaped crawling onto the lip of their cup? And it doesn't even tie into a particular holiday or season. Hmmm.
A. One of those construction trucks with a lot of wheels and a shovel. B. Butterfly or armadillo C. Snail with indent so you can put it on the rim of a cup. D. Dove with olive branch
A few years ago my mom put her metal snowman in the dishwasher (no clue why), when I went over to make cookies I pulled it out and started laughing. It turned into Mr Hanky Christmas Poo 😂😂😂
A. The triangler shapes are mountains, then on the curve to the left is the grass, the waves of water are on the bottom curves. That's all i can describe, a mountainfield
My friend is a part of this group. Some of the shapes she's talked about have cracked me up. One was of Finland, but the pictures people drew in the cookie cutter as guesses were hilarious.
Rotate B 90° to the left, its a butterfly from the side. C is a snail with a cutout so it can sit on the edge of a mug or cup. D is a bird in flight. Could be a bald eagle or hawk. Any larger bird would fit. A is an odd one. Could be 2 houses with snow on tbe bottom? I really have no idea.
Reminds me of R/whatismycookiecutter. I love watching people do videos about it because it's always so interesting to see what people come up with and see the real answer if it's known. The antique cookie cutters are definitely harder to identify because they've been oddly lost in time! Like you have the cookie cutter, but unless there's somehow pictures of what it was supposed to be, who knows! But that's also the time to get creative with your cookie decorating
A a sailboat ? B a butterfly (turn it 90 degrees counterclockwise) C A snail, made this way to balance on the edge of a coffee cup D is a dove in flight. Would take some excellent frosting work though.
There's an entire subreddit dedicated to this exact thing, and you don't have to navigate Facebook in the process! 😂😂 Fair warning, after the cutter is more or less identified, those in the comments start making jokes about what else it could be LMAO
A. I have no idea, but I can get behind the nativity scene guesses. B. Looks like it a Santa hat to me. Or at least, that's how I'd ice it. C. I have no idea. D. Definitely a candle in a handheld holder. Or a sailboat if you want to get fun. But it's a candle.
A: Knight chess piece, B: a Pokémon, C: whale, D: candle in an old school candleholder with the little finger loop to carry it around. D is the only one I think I'm anywhere close to being right.
What’s great is, in the comments, people draw and colour in the guesses and sometimes it’s not even close or it’s disfigured (they did it in purpose) because they gave up 😂
Four years ago my sister brought me a gingerbread cookie from a pack she got at the local bakery and asked me what shape I thought it was. After looking at it carefully, I said it looked like a pterodactyl. She had thought the same, but it made no sense to her to have a pterodactyl in a box of freshly made Christmas cookies. In the lead-up to Christmas a few more were found, inspected and discussed. It was a mystery. There were other theories, but they were set aside once a T-Rex and stegosaurus were found in other boxes. Clearly it was a pterodactyl - a Christmas pterodactyl, as I call them now. And my Christmas is oddly not complete unless I've gotten at least one Christmas pterodactyl. It is now one of my favourite Christmas traditions and I have even received a stuffed pterodactyl wearing a santa hat as a gift.
1. 2 houses side by side (left hand side with a door mat / side walk infront) 2. A princess in a big dress or maybe a dinosaur of some kind?? 3. SNAIL! 4. Flying bird of some kind, eagle or dove maybe?
D is definitely a candlestick. The snail thing is probably a snail. The umbrella looking one isprobably clouds on the left and umbrella on the right. But the other one looks like a puzzle piece. Part of a gingerbread house kit?
A: nativity scene B: triceratops with a party hat C: half of a standing snail (other half would be a circle to slide into the notch) D: old timey candle
Ok, A I have no clue. It looks like the left-hand side could be a profile of a horse’s head (snout and ear), but I don’t know what anything else could be, if that were the case. B is a butterfly in profile. The head’s the round lump at the top of the image, the body is down left of that, then the sort of triangular wing is the rest of it. C: I agree with everybody saying “snail with a cutout for some reason” because I don’t see what else it could be. It might have come from a set with a specific purpose such that cutouts made sense. But that’s gotta be a snail, right? D is definitely one of those old style lamps. Think sort of like the stereotypical Aladdin’s lamp, with the handle bit on the top right, but with a candle coming out the top (a *candle* ma’am, I know what you’re thinking, dirty birdy). Or maybe just flame/smoke coming out of it, the curvature might be irregular, it’s hard to tell for sure. That first one tho, I dunno. If you find out what it is, I’d love to know.
You left such a long comment, I thought I would assist. A appears the be two hearts and the word Love but the image is flipped and upside down B nailed it, butterfly C snail, yep and the cut out is so you can put it on the edge of your cup or mug like a garnish D nailed it again, a candle/lamp
@ Yeah, no matter how I try, long comments seem to be the only kind I ever leave. Unsure if curse or blessing 😂 If the image is flipped side-to-side, and then rotated such that the pointy bits are at the bottom… I can see how an L works, and I could make a bubble-V, but the O and E in that kind of font wouldn’t fit the curves in the metal. And if there were hearts behind the letters… to be big enough to make those two points, the tops would stick up way past the letters. Unless there’s intended to be some kind of perspective scaling? But that seems overly complex for a cookie cutter. Also, surely if you’re posting an image for identification, you wouldn’t flip it first, and I’ve never seen a cell phone camera where the main camera is defaultly flipped. The front-facing cam yes, but not the other, which means you’d have to intentionally flip it, and that’s just going to obfuscate the search process. So assuming the ID request is genuine, I can’t see why the image should need to be flipped. It *does* look like an L that way, but the rest of it doesn’t seem to work. Snail as a drink garnish omg 😂🤣. I mean I guess that’d work.. not anywhere I’d’ve put a snail tho 😂
1# is a little cottage house with snow on the bottom 2# the top plop of ice cream on top of a cone, but the cone part is separate. Or a cloud. 3# is a snail 4# a pigeon in flight or a old school candle holder with a stick candle on the top and the lip part is the handle.
Most of them are bent in some way, but the SLEUTHS in this group are on point! I’d wager the Ven Diagram between people in the cookie group and people who watch crime shows is a circle.
It's like a Rorschach Test. I'm Seeing Too Many Things and They're beginning to Speak to Me. I Shall go Mad.
Welcome.
We're ALL Mad Here...
😁

i think there's one person that makes every cookie cutter into a rose lol
I came here to say this. I don’t do facebook, but I am on Reddit.
And ALL of the cookie cutters are roses! Doesn’t matter the shape. There’s a rose in there somewhere.
The rose guy is my favourite
@@fylo667 Likewise!
Ok. I've now spent over an hour rewatching this short and reading comments when I should have been cleaning my refrigerator.
I love this channel.
D is a candle 🕯️ in a holder, like the kind Scrooge would have if wandering around his old house at night.
Oh like a little gas lamp
Oh! I see it!❤
I came here to say this. Candle in candle holder.
Oh I was thinking dove
I thought a half peeled banana
B is a butterfly from the side C is a snail, D is a flying dove. I'm not positive what A is. It could be a manger, or house with snow, or garland at the bottom. It could be mountains, & bushes at the bottom. Cookie cutters can be used in any way your imagination can take you!

@@aldrea6506 Yeah, I have difficulty imagining that, too.
I think D is a candle in a holder.
I thought B was a triceratops or similar dinosaur (the bit on the right looks like a tail)
A is "love" with 2 hearts, its upside down and the wrong way round.
B is a butterfly (i got it on amazon as a pack lol)
C is a snail i think?
D is dove/bird also the wrong way round

None of his four guesses make sense.
I thought B was a child riding a dinosaur
A is a nativity scene
The only one i recognized what the cup snail. As in the snail shaped cookie to put on the edge of your cup or mug
That sounds right to me, but it now raises the question of why anybody would want something snail-shaped crawling onto the lip of their cup? And it doesn't even tie into a particular holiday or season. Hmmm.
You champion.
That makes so much sense, I low-key want it now bc that would be fun
D is absolutely a dove!🕊️
Actually it's a lit candle in an old fashioned holder with a ring handle.
u don't bring darkness, u bring joy 😊
A. One of those construction trucks with a lot of wheels and a shovel.
B. Butterfly or armadillo
C. Snail with indent so you can put it on the rim of a cup.
D. Dove with olive branch
C is a cat.
D is a flying bird I think- the wing is the large protrusion, the uptick the head and beak and the tail
I got winging dove from that too, maybe an olive sprig?
The rest??? Heck if I know.
Not buying it. I see a hammer.
D is a duck during hunting season. Sheesh, everybody should see it./s

That's what I said! Looked like a house with some bushes in front, and a door off to the left, with snow all over the ground.❤
There is great one on Reddit too. People draw what they think the cookie will look like and it’s hilarious
I think the last one is one of those hand held candle holders with a candle in it!
Exactly what I was thinking.

I thought it was a dove mid flight!

I think the third(?) one might be a slug
It all gets revealed in the icing and decorations...
I think B is a butterfly and D is a flying bird, but A has me stumped 😂
There's a subreddit for this too.
D looks like it used to be a candle 🕯️ with the little loop handle, ya know?
A is probably a manger scene for Christmas.
D is a dove maybe? Or a candle with garland at the bottom?
Unsure on B and C tho...
I thought A might be a gingerbread house duplex
Rotate B 90° to the left, its a butterfly from the side. C is a snail with a cutout so it can sit on the edge of a mug or cup. D is a bird in flight. Could be a bald eagle or hawk. Any larger bird would fit.
