You have the cutest sidekick in all of RUclips land! ☺️❤️ Love the jars!!!!! I am excited to try them out and LOVE your slide rack. Danny installed mine awhile back now and it has made such a huge difference in organizing my baking sheets! Now i have to get me a tshirt 😆😆😆😆
Loving the jar's look.😍They look similar to the Anchor Hocking ones. I too love the lids, honestly I loved them more before they embossed the tops. Either way the sealing compound is good- thick and no fails that weren't from a jar chip I missed. Because let's face it chip happens.😊
I'm sorry, but the second you said "Wylie Coyote" I burst out laughing. (yes, I'm old enough to picture that) Sorry I laughed. I'm glad you weren't hurt any worse.
A few years ago when lids were impossible to get, I stumbled upon a garage sale that was selling cases of packages of lids. They were all sealed and the case was still wrapped in plastic. It was very dusty and I wasn't sure but I needed canning lids. I ended buying a variety of regular and wide lids. I think they were Kerr brand. Let me tell you, the difference in quality from years ago to now is significant. Those lids POP when they seal, not just a little tink. They were selling each box for $1.00 and I spent $135.00.
I checked on ordering 4 boxes of pints with lids and rings. But with higher prices and shipping total came up to $120.32 😵💫. That averages out to over $30 per dozen. I just can’t justify that. I will have to carry on with my Ball jars and Superb lids.
Girl, in my 70's I need that system for my pans. I have stuff I need to get rid of. Most of the time no one is here during holidays so don't cook like I used to.But still can during the winter in Texas.
The superb jars are beautiful. I am thankful that the Lord was protecting you. I am just learning about feasts, festivals and head coverings and would love to be entered for the CJB study Bible. Take care ❤
Azure Standard's own line of canning jars uses Superb's lids. I had heard the Superb lids had problems when pressure canning. So I have only been using the Superb lids to vacuum seal. It's good to hear a different perspective. I need to do some major meat canning so I'll try a batch.
I have not had any problems pressure canning with superb lids. I think I’ve had one lid buckle, but I knew I had tightened the lid too much. So that was on me, not the lids :)
My daughter had the string on her bow come unhooked as she was drawing the bow and it hit her in the left check bone just under the eye. It did give her a concussion, fractured her check bone, and caused damage to the sinus area. She did have to have two surgeries to take care of the sinus damage. She did get benefit from some comfrey sauve that I had here for the bruising and the surgical incisions. Dumb things do happen when we lease expect them.
I do not remember where , or when , I first heard it , but this phrase was a family staple early on : " The hurrier I go , the behinder I get ! " . I feel your pain ! Hope you heal completely , with no repercussions !
I remember helping my husband many years ago butchering a deer. I remember it was a lot of work! Once again, I love how little Willow is observing you using those tools! She’s going to be way ahead of the game! I’ve done the same thing with a rake in my younger days!!! I was alone but I laughed and laughed at myself! I’m glad you didn’t get too hurt! I have Christopher’s comfrey ointment. Works great on muscle ache!😘❤️🙏🏻✨
The gash I got on my head, I flushed it with water to get the dirt out. Then I flushed it again with saline. I bandaged it and sprayed it frequently with colloidal silver spray. Once the skin was closed, I used the things I showed here :)
Constance I’m so glad you are okay. Seems we may have to get you a cute Cosmopolitan Cornbread Football helmet made😉Take care of yourself and get some rest. Praying for healing and no black eye
My mom would put crisco on my bumps and I can't explain the science, but it keeps blood from pooling and reduces bruising greatly. Just smooth it on the bump....
Hey had heard of the ointment before and actually have some but the pills I do not..I have dealth with herniated disc in my back for over 15 years and the pain can be pretty bad and also had a very bad fall a little over 2 months ago and did some damage to knee and think fractured pelvis so gonna start putting it on those places and see if it helps
@@CosmopolitanCornbread Thank you, I thought I saw it said it needed to be refrigerated after opening as I looked it up on Amazon and thought that was a little odd, I did order it! Excited to give it a try 🙂 You're the 2nd person that recommended it, thanks for doing that.
Hate to hear you got hurt. I just got home last night after spending 10 days at the hospital with mom. She Tripped over her cat and broke her femur in 2 places. They had to med flight her to a trauma center for surgery.
i stepped on a garden hoe once that did the same i learned when done put it away because weird things happen to me all the time i use to joke that needed to wear a helmet because of how many times i have hit my head in accidents.
Bless you dear!! I've never whapped myself in the head with anything. But, once I stabbed myself in the arm right above my hand with a gross, dirty, rusty, old ice pick. Long story how I pulled that off. I was home alone. There was a trail of blood from the backyard through the garage and into the house continuing in the kitchen. I called my husband and told him what I had done and asked him to come home. He was an hour away. LOL I was afraid I might bleed out or something. I'm not going to tell you how gross it was. Luckily, I hit a vein and not an artery or it could have been serious. I call myself trying to be extra careful now. I'm 57 and have always been a clutz because I'm tall and have big feet!! If your face discolors as it heals, I feel sorry for Mr. Smith. He's gonna get the stink eye if y'all go out somewhere. LOL My youngest gave me a black eye at 1 yr. old. It happened to us. I wish I had your skill set of making, building and installing things. I guess I must have been playing when that gene was given out. LOVE THOSE JARS!!!
Oh man!! I'm glad you were relatively okay. My husband has always been the one having the freak accidents and getting hurt. I think he's rubbed off on me! 😆
Hello, I wrote a comment , like 3days ago. My name is Caroline Sand. At the end I gave you the name of a “homesteader in northwest Ohio. She has a large family. I believe that she makes most of her food. They raise cows and chickens. Interesting. Anyway, I gave you her wrong name. My apologizes. I wrote that her name is “Rebecca”. Her correct name is “Jessica”. Three Rivers Homestead”. I thought you might be interested in talking with her. I listen to her a lot. I heard you first the other day & enjoyed your program. I plan to continue . Thank you. 🤎🍂💛🍁🧡 Caroline Sand. Oh, “Happy Thanksgiving”. 🦃🍁
Thank Yahweh for protecting you, may He speed your recovery!! Question: those look like wide mouth jars, you said regular though, so I'm confused, could you clarify? Yeshua be with you, smiles and blessings...
They are regular mouthed jars. The wide mouthed jars have a larger opening and use the larger lids. And you can see that it says "regular mouth" right on the boxes 😉
I know you won’t ha! But maybe you Should have your eye checked. I’m surprised it didn’t triggered a migraine. Bless your heart! I’ll pray for your head, lol, I have migraines and that horrible ice pick pain. Poor head!!

LOL! Yeah, those racks are so helpful!

I love the Superb lids too! We get a huge roll of lids from Lehmans. My favorite jars are still the Azure Standard ones.
I LOVE superb lids. Those jars are beautiful! I hope there are half gallon and gallon ones!
Glad he at least got his deer
Prayers for a speedy recovery 🙏🏼
I love the Superb lids, you definitely know when they seal! Sorry you got hurt but glad your ok☺️
Thanks for sharing new jars to buy, right now I have been using for jars canning lids. These look nice too.
Constance, Praise God you are ok! I’ve been using Superb lids for a few years. I’ll be trying their jars now.

I love the superb lids. I’ll check out the jars Thanks for sharing!
I also have those sliders in my kitchen, helps find those things in the back easier. Plus my disabled husband is able to access pots and lids easily.
I wish I had put these in a long time ago!

Bummer, wished I would've known about Superb before I purchased the forjars.
I found Superb lids in Atwoods in Alma, AR. Maybe jars, but I can’t remember cause I don’t need jars and didn’t pay attention.
Things happen so fast in our daily lives take care and maybe see your eye doctor just in case you stay safe!!
Glad your ok. I did something like that with a rake years ago.
Thank you :) It seems to be a very common thing!
Suggest see eye doctor since you saw flash of light. Happened to me and ended up with detached retina.

Yes, that was disappointing about the AS jars, because they are so pretty. It's also one of the reasons why I stopped using the ForJars lids.
Okay, but where did all the hoopla about forjars go?
I stopped using those quite a while ago. Superb's lids and jars are made in America. :)
