Morpheme is the smallest & contrastive unit of a language
It is Abstract(meaningful) and undivisible
E.g Book and Table r 2 morphmes
They hv their own meanings
Book can't be further divide into meaningful parts as bo & ok or b &ook or boo& k etc.
Book and table are contrastive . It means they hv own distinctive meaning
