NOPE , We were on Freedom in March and did not see one thing that was disappointing to this guy !! Maybe Christmas isn't the best time to go !! Freedom was clean and all restaurants and food throughout the ship was fabulous!! Staff was Awesome !! Did not witness one drunk passenger !! Never saw vomit or glasses and dishes laying around !! Best Cruise and Vacation EVER !! 👍🎉🍾🏝️🛳️

I agree. I went on March 22nd, 2024 And I had a BLAST!!!! But it was my first cruise so I know other cruises like the Icon Of The Seas will ofc be wayyy better.
Well I just got off a week ago and the ship is falling apart so maybe you were too drunk to notice but it was severely overcrowded the elevators did not work and were dangerous on both ends. We got stuck on one elevator and people started breaking out in a sweat cuz there's no air on those elevators and I kept hitting the emergency button and no staff was coming to our rescue. It was very dangerous people were starting to panic. The cruise line knows about this and has done nothing about it they continued to stuff people in there and that was just our first day. The ship was understaffed and filled to capacity that would have made a fire inspector have a heart attack. The food was very subpar to the point where you could tell they just don't care. Guest Services promise you things and then did not follow through or withdrew what they promised and I got double billed after I got home. The pool was absolutely filthy and needed resurfacing and they had way too many people in their. People that take this cruise is okay have no standards just saying

Just got off the Freedom two weeks ago (Feb 2024) and was very disappointed, couldn't wait to disembark. Admittedly, however I am comparing the 3 day Freedom to a 14 day Oceania (Sirena) that we had taken just prior to boarding the Freedom. What I was most shocked about was the class of people on board. For example, in the Buffet, the crowd was so unruly that it reminded me of recent scenes of relief trucks distributing supplies to starving persons in Gaza- pushing and shoving- cutting in line as if their life depended on getting some nourishment. The main pool deck was LOUD LOUD , and even in 18+ pool there was no escaping the screaming, whoopping and hollering. Even in on our Veranda (deck 9) the cabin to our right had music blaring, and the cabin to our left housed some nutty person who was yelling over the rail, "WHOO HOO" over and over again. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience .
We have had similar quality and service experiences with out last two RCCL cruises. We finally had enough and gave Celebrity a try on the APEX. What a difference! You still get your room cleaned twice a day, chocolates on your pillows at night and a paper planner. If you want to experience what cruising used to be like give Celebrity a try.
Celebrity Edge class ships are best-in-the-game right now, in my opinion. I’ve had two wonderful cruises on the Edge and look forward to trying Ascent soon!
We are looking into this cruise line now too. We want to experience a better quality. I have been in five RCCL cruises and the last one to Alaska disappointed too. We had times when the dining room did not had the ingredients for the food we requested. In addition, the best show was canceled as well due to lack of staff.
Totally agreed with this video, everything mentioned happened to me too, and on top, the room sheets smelled like they were washed 1 million times and never replaced plus the room smell, and not only my room, 4 rooms from my family, 2 balconies 1 panoramic view suite and another one from the mall view, and they ALL smelled the same.

I got off this ship a week ago and we're not recommend it to anybody. The elevators did not work on both ends. The pool was filthy and needed resurfacing and tiles were cracking throughout the decks. There was rust in my stateroom. in the shower when in the porthole of the window. The elevators did not work at all properly and they were dangerous and they put three women with two bunk beds in one room. One of us had to sleep on the floor. Guest Services did not resolve what they promised and when I got home I got double billed for items that were not mine and is still not resolved and when you try and talk to them about your bill they say we don't have our bill in front of us we have to wait for it even though they've sent you your bill already. This whole trip was a disaster
We subscribed to your channel after finding your haven video - and really enjoy your honest reviews - we are normally ncl haven family cruisers but started our first cruise with royal in a owners suite - the lines need to get a balance which they seem to be struggling with ,huge cruise fares but reduced service and food . Keep the videos coming
Thanks very much for subscribing! There’s definitely been a noticeable decline in quality recently among the major lines, but interestingly it seems to be very dependent on ship. I think a lot of it has to do with relatively new staff after the post-COVID staff shortages. Either way, hope your next cruise is a great one!

I'm on Freedom of the Seas right now, February 5th, 2024. I can't agree with you more. The food was absolutely terrible. It is mostly undercooked. It is also obvious "old" sitting out for long periods of time. Our beverages are not good. Even the soda machines 2 are located on 5 and 2, located in the Windjammer, which is closed for long periods throughout the day. They are always out of the main flavors, too. I'm not happy at all with Royal Carribean anymore. Coca Cay is also absolutely terrible. Pools are way to cold, and RC just wants to make money on us for their boring island. Also Labadee Haiti is even worse. After 9 cruises, my family is done with Royal Carribean. Especially when you pay 60 per person for a steak that tastes like low-grade meat. Don't waste your money, y'all. Long time RC Cruiser. RC needs investigated for mistreatment of their employees. They are like slaves working nonstop for 9 months at a time fed even worse food than the RC customers. Their pay is like less than minimum wage. Back to normal vacations on the land for our family. 😢

Met some trashy people that made me understand how fights happen. Decent experience but probably wouldn't do it again. Thinking about taking a week long cruise with another line next year due to the abysmal food alone.
I went on Freedom of the Seas a couple weekends ago. I only ate the buffet food and agree it was all low quality- CoCoCay had the best food imo but it was still mid. Myself and my group were first time cruisers and there was no direction - staff expected all cruisers to already understand how to navigate everything, and giving us contradictory information. Especially with entering our cabins and disembarking the ship. My friend did not have a login for the app which made it worse for her. Please set up login information with customer service prior to your cruise date if you pay for your cruise over the phone. The worst part of my trip was that my 2 makeup bags containing all my makeup were stolen from my room by staff! I reported the missing items, I was interviewed by security and three staff members searched my room everywhere and no luck finding them (all of this was video taped by body cameras). I’m glad Royal took my complaint seriously. The next day, I put the “do not disturb” sign on my door and when I returned from port, my missing bags were in a drawer. I’m glad the thief returned my items but it’s so disappointing- I didn’t think I needed to put makeup in the safe! Overall, I was pretty disappointed and won’t go with Royal Caribbean again if any cruise.
Have to admit I was kind of shocked with the review. Thanks for being honest. We recently did a cruise on Mariner of the Sea and had an amazing time. We to had an issue with our toilet and it was resolved within hours of calling. The crew was amazing the food was decent and the ship was in fantastic shape for being an older girl. My wife and I are eager to travel again under the crown and anchor and hope your trip was an outlier and not a normal as we will be going on Liberty of the seas later this year
I had a great cruise on the Navigator in 2019 that was much more what I expect from RCCL, both her and the Mariner are great ships. Hope your sailing on Liberty is a good one, or at least better than ours!

With only three nights, I am assuming you dine only once at the main dining room and two at the specialty dining.
Maybe go on the 70000 tons of metal cruise on this ship. A ship full of people that don’t complain over a few cups here and there. Or a plate of foot that is left by someone. Just fun and good heavy metal music

We literally just came off this ship cruise the 13th of this month (October) and to be honest I agree with you on some of the food. The main dining room food was amazing to us however the buffet was ok at best, Cococay food was good too. Our voyage was clean but occasionally I would see a plate or cup left somewhere however it was only there for a few mins. Overall this was our first cruise and I would completely do it again.
This guy would complain about winning the lottery lol. I was on this ship last year and it was an awesome experience. Life if sometimes what you make it dude.
We have been on this ship 3 times and absolutely love it, we will be on it again in April but will probably be our last on this ship. Have Wonder and Star booked next. Royal has its ups and downs, but we will always be Loyal to Royal.

Don’t know what to say other then I’ve have a 100% opposite experience with Royal and on Freedom. I’ve been on Freedom 3 times in 2023 and non of the above mentioned problems ever came up at least not to us. Maybe this guy is just a person that’s had a lot of bad luck or Royal has cleaned up pretty fast. My opinion he must had a bad experience with Royal that has nothing to do with everything he’s mentioning in this video. Maybe something like not getting something he wanted and or a lost deposit who really know. I think not even an inspector would find so many bad things in a single cruise. I believe everyone has an opinion and I opinion is this guy must be mad about something and this is why he made this video criticizing everything or just about everything on this cruise. I also think the people on this/those ship really work hard to make it right for everyone all the time and it’s really hard and not possible to be perfect. This guy should buy a boat for himself next time he wants to go out on the water.
I think a lot of this is pretty subjective, which is totally fine, but I imagine plenty of people would react to the exact same food and daily life interactions quite a bit more positively than you did. That said, the toilet issue is objectively a BIG problem, and 100% unacceptable. As you said, stuff breaks sometimes, and we all need to be reasonable in allowing those situations to be resolved. But ignoring 2 rounds of service calls about a broken, waste-filled toilet for 24 hours of a 72 hour cruise is absurd. That warrants a letter being written. I have also never heard of a similar story on Freedom or really any other Royal ship. I think you and your wife may have just gotten really unlucky and received some outlier poor service, which sucks.
Glad you had a great cruise! One of the unique things about cruising is that a LOT of your experience can depend on time of year/length of sailing. And of course random chance too Happy to hear you had a good experience!
Been on 17 RCCL cruises of all classes of ships without one bad sailing (even through a hurricane). Have not sailed on anything less than 7 days. Maybe that’s the problem (not that this is an acceptable excuse). We are loyal to Royal.
You must have never cruised Carnival. We normally cruise RCL and after cruising Carnival I can’t wait to return to RCL. Carnival is 10 times worse than your reviews. All of my family members noticed the difference. You did mention customer service was an issue so I am guessing the cruise industry is experiencing the same issue. Remember, COVID hit the cruise industry real hard so it may take a while to get new people spun up because they let a lot of people go. I am assuming this is one of the issues as they lost a lot of experience.
How is it ridiculous? It is someone's personal experience. They're not saying it will always be like that for everyone. I do hope this video gets seen by Royal Caribbean though, because it might help them improve the experience for guests moving forward.

My recommendation to you is try a line like Celebritiy, or if you’re really into food, Oceania. Both of those you’ll find some really excellent meals

My opinion he must had a bad experience with Royal that has nothing to do with everything he’s mentioning in this video. Maybe something like not getting something he wanted and or a lost deposit who really know. I think not even an inspector would find so many bad things in a single cruise. I believe everyone has an opinion and I opinion is this guy must be mad about something and this is why he made this video criticizing everything or just about everything on this cruise. I also think the people on this/those ship really work hard to make it right for everyone all the time and it’s really hard and not possible to be perfect. This guy should buy a boat for himself next time he wants to go out on the water.
I think a lot of this is pretty subjective, which is totally fine, but I imagine plenty of people would react to the exact same food and daily life interactions quite a bit more positively than you did. That said, the toilet issue is objectively a BIG problem, and 100% unacceptable. As you said, stuff breaks sometimes, and we all need to be reasonable in allowing those situations to be resolved. But ignoring 2 rounds of service calls about a broken, waste-filled toilet for 24 hours of a 72 hour cruise is absurd. That warrants a letter being written. I have also never heard of a similar story on Freedom or really any other Royal ship. I think you and your wife may have just gotten really unlucky and received some outlier poor service, which sucks.
Freedom is one of my favorite cruise ships I hope they can bounce back from your review. Sounds more like a Carnival cruise to me.
They most of taking care of all those issues cause I just returned from Freedom and everything was stellar ⭐️

Been on 17 RCCL cruises of all classes of ships without one bad sailing (even through a hurricane). Have not sailed on anything less than 7 days. Maybe that’s the problem (not that this is an acceptable excuse). We are loyal to Royal.

You must have never cruised Carnival. We normally cruise RCL and after cruising Carnival I can’t wait to return to RCL. Carnival is 10 times worse than your reviews. All of my family members noticed the difference. You did mention customer service was an issue so I am guessing the cruise industry is experiencing the same issue. Remember, COVID hit the cruise industry real hard so it may take a while to get new people spun up because they let a lot of people go. I am assuming this is one of the issues as they lost a lot of experience.

How is it ridiculous? It is someone's personal experience. They're not saying it will always be like that for everyone. I do hope this video gets seen by Royal Caribbean though, because it might help them improve the experience for guests moving forward.
