Tbh, anime, such as this one, are our escape from an other wise corrupted world. This is why we indulge in anime and the ppl that try to call us out on it for bad terms are shown to lack good moral value as an anime watcher/lover would. Im not saying to entirely wrap ur lives in anime and forget about your life, im saying to enjoy it when you can. It helps alot and makes you feel good. But seriously, keep a check cuz anime doesnt pay ur bills unless u make it :p My little tid bit on anime for fun. Like it tho P.s this is for ppl who doubt and make fun of anime watchers
How beautifully put. I am one of those 'serious' guys. Some people don't even believe that I watch anime :). It's a temporary escape from reality , we just need to make sure we don't get too carried away and ignore the real world. We can take the inspiration , kindness and love shown in Anime to the real world. We can have the best of both worlds ! :)

I mean seriously, not ALL anime belong to those kinds of stuff, there are anime that have good stories, and give thoughts and ideas about real life. Sigh what a pity

Though there wasnt much of a lovey-dovey ending that most anime-goers might want, it is implied very well with Houtarou being determined to cover as Chitanda's other half. :) That was just too sweet.
*SEASON 2 SPECULATION: WATASHI KININARIMASU!!:* For those who are still wishing for Season 2, there's a little hope that it will be confirmed... Because 4 out of the 5 novels in Hyouka have been covered for season 1 already. The reason why the 5th one is not yet covered, entitled "The Approximation of the Distance of Two." is unknown, which is weird because even though the anime has been released last 2012, the 5th novel was released in 2010. So my theory, it could be that Kyoto Animation, the one who made the anime of Hyouka, save the Hyouka's 5th novel for Season 2 or maybe the 5th novel's story has some continuation in it, leaving the 5th novel's storyline unfinished. Also, it's been 5 years since the 5th Novel has been released. If you take a look at wikipedia page, at the Media-Novel section, you will see that the Novel has a few year span to released another Novel for Hyouka. If the author, Honobu Yonezawa, is still writing the novel until today for the 6th and future novels, then that is the longest span yet. Mystery genre is hard to make though because the author must think something quite interesting to ensure the readers grant them satisfaction on how the plot is going, but, then again, that's my theory... To make things short, Season 2 of Hyouka needs more novels to fill up the holes what Season 1 left... And 1 novel is not enough, KyoAni needs 3 or 4 more just to make the Season 2 announced and set.

This anime was alright, kind of like Oregairu. Oregairu was a masterpiece tho and it also on a hiatus. Chitanda's cuteness is the only reason I kept watching this anime.
Who knows hopefully in 2017 :D I mean since Blue exorcist is getting a 2nd season and lelouch of the rebellionis also getting some love anything can happen lets hope this gets another season too.

We all want a season 2 but with the lack of source & a long silence hiatus ; it's heartbreaking to not seeing one of ever getting produced. I hope I'm wrong though; I will gladly welcome a season 2.
