yes & the harmonies in this are so good Omg Danielle's voice is great adn so cool all the time but on this track, Running If You Call My Name, and My Song 5; it gets to sound really pretty:)
I really don't think so. Mick and Keith have a whole lot more skill in evidence with their instruments. Voice also... has any of Haim's singers ever sustained a note to show off a good singing voice? In this video I see one sexy young lady barely playing a drum, another dancing with a castanet. Both remind me of somebody's girlfriend being asked to join a band because of their uh, visual talent. This group is cute all right, a little hypnotizing to watch, but as judged by musical ability I have trouble seeing it.
MrCurmudgeon44 To each his own, but you clearly don't know Diddley or Buddy Holly or the early Rolling Stones if you don't hear their influence in this song. These girls have done some serious listening and it shows.
MrCurmudgeon44 lol i dont think you've seen este kill it on the bass or alana on the guitar.... maybe try judging them by their overall work, not just one song. look up oh well, let me go, my song 5, like literally this one song doesn't show off all of their talent whatsoever.
@@MrCurmudgeon44 6 years late, but you're a pretentious idiot. Maracas are not castanets. I love how people trying to be 'right' on the internet never know a fucking thing about the subject at hand. And yes, that does invalidate your entire point. You want to criticize music? Study it first or shut the hell up.
Just astounding... their virtually perfect timing drives this up to...ha ha... ALL their songs have "virtually" perfect timing. Their parents are geniuses and due most proper RESPECT in this endeavor. THE LADIES " HAIM " Their brilliance is GROSSLY underestimated. FULL STOP.
I am obsessed with this band ever since I saw them on SNL. Such a fresh and individual style.... it's about time!
Danielle's voice is so freaking pretty here

Those slashing guitar chords are just about all you need. Mick and Keith would have been proud to have penned this back in 1964.
