Fantastic machine, both locos look and sound brill, at the moment me and my dad are building a 10 1/4 inch gauge Diesel hydraulic locomotive, powered by a Ruston 1YA Diesel Engine.
James47298 thanks ! If you want to visit as a passenger we are open every Sunday weather permitting between Easter and October. If you want to visit with a loco then you can contact our facebook page or directly contact someone via our website ndsme.org .

sounds like a beast !
Are drawings available for this loco?
Im afraid not, the loco was built from scratch.
what engine is in tod?
its a lombardini single cylinder diesel off a hydraulic power pack ~7hp
What gearbox is it
an old reliant regal gearbox driven by a petter ac1zs on the new one
@@locolovercharlie love it!
is that a diesel engine?
yes, a lister petter AC1ZS in ‘Pat the Petter’ and a Lombardini high speed diesel in ‘Tod the Tug’
Nice one boys. When are you fitting the silencer? Looks rather speedy in top gear.
About that... :) we are most likely going to keep the manifold as it sounds better and it isn't very loud when not on load.
Very extensive video, is this open to public?
