I met Andy at Gearfest the year this album came out. I remember hearing this song and feeling this overwhelming sense of sadness and loss. 2 years later I watched my marriage end when I found out my wife was have multiple affairs. I have never experienced that level of pain and loss. About a month after everything was done and divorce papers were filed, I had this CD playing and this song came on. I had to pull car over and just weep. That day came. A day I never in a million years expected. And the true nature of the song hit. Andy has an amazing ability to capture emotion thru the use music. I will always be tied to this song in some way.
Andy sits down with a Strat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
omg.. pure tears coming... Andy Timmons is really a god!!
According to me, he is the most dynamic player ever. Barely touches the Volume and the Tone knobs but gets so many different sounds in a single composition. His playing and his tone is sublime
@@chopholtz4950 22 Fret Gang... Present!
You are absolutely right ✅️
Sweet and soulful, familiar yet surprising. Andy Timmons, the composer, takes on a journey worthy of the time it takes to get there..
Thanks for the kind words John...means a lot coming from you! Hope you are well my friend
That sounds phenomenal. Maybe we need an updated Andy Timmons Rig Rundown.
I’m guessing we would be disappointed to find it consists of Mooer pedals into a Chinese made boogie clone
Prob plugged into a computer 🤣
Just saw him live at Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney. Amazing experience. Best instrumentalist to walk the planet!
He is not a guitarist. It's a soul singing.
Andy, I stumbled across this track for the first time around 2 years ago when I lost my grandma during Covid. Since then, I have revisited it many, many times and will forever associate it with her. It took me months to figure out, understand and poorly imitate the intricacies of how beautifully you play it in this recording. But now every time I hear or pick up my guitar and play this song myself, it touches deep within my soul and always guarantees a small tear in my eye in her memory.
Andy, thank you for bringing this beautiful song into the world, and for unknowingly creating and capturing an eternal and everlasting way for me to remember her. My grandma may now have long departed this mortal coil, but, for me, she will always live on and be encapsulated in my heart through this song. Thank you Andy for that amazing and timeless gift.
Everything about the man’s playing is absolutely amazing but I really love his phrasing. Such a phenomenal musician playing with such soul🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Beautiful composition! I saw Andy twice at Iridium NYC. When this damn pandemic will end hopefully we will have live music again.
Beautiful piece and a master performance. The dynamics at 2:30....
What? No Ibanez? No matter, everything this guy does is pure gold. Just bought Ear X-Tacy, delighted to find a 'Cry for You' backing track on there. Joy of joys.
one of my many inspirations in my tool box of inspirations..wasn't till sometime in the 90's that i learned of andy..was at a party playing guitar and a guy buy the name of rex..pulled me aside and said that i sounded allot like andy timmons..and he went to his car and came back with a cd..that day changed my life..because i was introduced to andy's music and he went on to become one of my greatest inspirations because of how hey conveys emotion thru his playing..every song tells a story if you listen..every note says something and so i spent countless hours listening to his music..trying to dissect parts in my head to figure things out and took those little inspirations and added em to my tool box,,now i am no andy timmons..i am just me..but i would not be the player i am today if it were not for inspirations like andy ...tony mcalpine and greg howe..think i put more in my tool box from them than anybody and for that i will always be eternally grateful..much respect be well in these crazy times
Andy’s tone is always so good....I can imagine him playing a shovel guitar and it still sounding great!
I usually not comment any video but this piece of music is just so special for me, thank you so very much Andy for sharing your playing with us. You're one of the greatest!
A dear uncle of mine passed away today. So that day came the same day you posted "That day came", wich is probably my favorite song to play and listen to. Thank you for this masterpiece Andy.
Sorry for your loss
Are you aware that this song was written as a tribute for the passing of their family pet? "On your way sweet soul" is the one you want: ruclips.net/video/JsC8jwF8sLo/видео.html
In Hindu Mythology "Mahabharata," there is a distinguishing term for the top tier people of a particular profession.
"Shera" - meaning the best.
"Uttam" - not the best but a class which cannot be defined in mere words.
I think Andy is that person who makes Music from his heart. He is a sorcesor of Music.

Beautiful melody and chords, AT always has the best tone and melodic lines in the business. Thank you Andy!
So mystical and yet beautiful. Going into an Abyss so dark yet bright on the other end. This how i felt listening to this music.
There is a new favorite on my top five of your songs, and probably in the top 10 of all times as well!!! You are a true inspiration Andy!!! Blessings!!!
Great use of the harmony of the harmonic minor scale in a voice leading way with borrowed chords (common tones) a very musical transposition, and a divine touch. this guy is gifted and disciplined. These stuff make a true musician. Thank you Andy you are an inspiration to me for many years now ... God bless you. Have a great year man

Those dynamics! The whole band. Loved the fading snares with the chords. A song to be proud of.
Your tone and feel are so great! It’s so delightful to see these up-close videos of your playing that it makes me grab my guitar and try your tunes. I’d really appreciate if you could include also The Prayer, The Answer to the list. Cheers
Essas músicas do Andy Timmons são muito lindas, as harmonias bem construídas, melodias muito significativas, timbres maravilhosos. Música instrumental da melhor qualidade! Parabéns! 👏👏👏👏👏

That was music. Nice to hear someone who likes to go beyond licks and exercise sounding music. This was a nice ride out in the sonic garden by a solid guide who knows the territory very well. Nothing to trim.

Absolutely Beautiful and Cathartic and just so full of soulful singing sweet melody and harmony. Continuity for days Andy!! Thank you for letting us hear the notes of your soul!! Great to see your old Strats out as well. I would not have known you didn't use your AT Signature Guitars on the neck or middle positions for this song. But the strats allowed the right balance to shine through.. Blessings to you!
Parabéns, Timmons !!!!🎸👋👋
Lovely Andy, Love your style of playing and your tone. You are one of a kind !
Very nice. Love the old 60's tone. But then again most of that comes from your fingers.
