Both my husband and I are descendants of Mayflower passengers. Stephen and Elizabeth Hopkins ( Damaris 2), William and Mary Brewster( Patience) and Francis Cooke( Jacob and Damaris Cooke) are all my 11th great-grandparents. My husband is related to John and Priscilla Alden. So fun to find this all out.
I'm descended from James Chilton by way of his child, Mary. It fascinates me that neither he nor his wife lived to set foot on American soil, but his little girl was (supposedly) the first white person to step on to Plymouth Rock. She later married John Winslow, who came over on the Fortune, months after the Mayflower. John and Mary had a _large_ family, and a whole lot of descendants, just because one little girl lived when so many others didn't. Fate is ... very, very strange.
John Alden & Priscilla Mullins and Myles Standish (his wife Barbara) are my 11th great grandparents. Their children, Sarah Alden married Alexander Standish. From there ancestors from the Samson line lead further to my ancestors' line. In the middle of that line was one female Oliva Alden-Standish (Samson or Felton--can't remember now). Closer to the end was my great GM, Maud Moxley Anderson, who died from childbirth in 1897 at age 18. Her son Alva, my grandfather, died at age 31 in 1927.
Hello! I am also descended from John Alden & Priscilla Mullins! (oldest daughter Elizabeth Alden & William Pabody). My grandfather in that line, Charles Bacon Thomes, was business partners with a Myles Standish, descendant of, you guessed it, Myles Standish!!
I'm descended from the troublemaker, Edward Doty. I had to laugh when I read the long list of court appearances and fines and charges and assaults: he even sued his own father-in-law! What a silly man he must have been at one time. It does seem he eventually got his act together, and I feel true kinship with him in that I also spent the first decade or so of my adult life being a bit of a putz, but found my way in my early 40s. ❤
I descended from both William & Mary Brewster through their daughter Patience Brewster Prence. Every ancestor down was female, through my maternal grandmother! My mother's father's mother is a descendant of Deacon John Dunham.
Daddy's family are Crowells and my maternal grandmother was a Maynard. settlers of Sudbury, Wayland , and Leverett, MA. We descend of Howlands, Austins, Nyes. I am adding the s in all cases. You may find our remains from Provincetown to upstate NY. My ancestors were not joining the DAR because we had been here 150 years before that. The elders used to say that we used to marry our cousins, because that is whom we knew!
I love this presentation 👏 great job! Just found out yesterday that I am related through Resolve ...Thankful Hayward, David and Hannah Gay, Ephraim Gay, Orren Gay, great grandmother Wilhemina Gay (Veal-Vale), Iris Elsie Vale (Veal-Vale), Doris Vivian (Pickett -Veal-Vale) Proctor.
Recently, thanks to my Great Grandmothers interest in genealogy back in the 1940s-60s. Ive found a love for discovering my heritage... since learning that I am a direct Son of the American Revolution from multiple directions.. I've furthered her research into our family name... and even into the servant on the mayflower Mr. George Soule.... On a side note... another direction comes back to a mr thomas ramsdell marrying a miss Sarah Alverson.. according to records, ramsdell is a direct descendant of the mayflower as well (married Sarah, who was a great8x grandmother of mine)
I don't see any of the orphans who were on the Mayflower and survived. There were the strangers who were not pilgrams and those were endentured servants to pilgrims on the ship.
I descend from William Brewster , Bradford, and Richard Warren. I know both Brewster and Bradford are my 12th great grandfathers. Through Love Brewster and William Bradford Jr. I’m not as sure about my connection to Warren but I do know it’s direct. Both Brewster and bradford descendant marries and have children with Pardee.
Just a couple months ago I asked my best friend since 1980 who his Mayflower ancestor was he said William Bradford. Mine are John Alden/Priscilla Mullins. Bradford and Alden both signed the Mayflower Compact, and I read that Alden worked for Bradford too. Among other things my friend & I are musicians. My friend soft pedals his pilgrim connection because of PC sentiment about Native Americans which as this point is observation of history the way I see it. I did get him to admit that without the pilgrims, there’d be no Jazz!!!!! 🎹🥁🎸🎶😎!
I can't prove I'm related to the Pilgrims, but I can tell you where I live the Pilgrims came from, well some of them.Essex,I can also tell you Christopher Martin worked at the same Church where I volunteer, the other day I had a pint of Ale in the same port where the Mayflower Ship and its crew regularly docked, Leigh on Sea, in fact 4 Pilgrims left the town where I live, Christopher Martin was I charge of buying goods for the voyage, and he was known as being corupt & not popular, I do know a lady who is directly descended to Miles Standon
That would make us distant cousins. The Bush Presidents and I are cousins thru the Wellington Sisters of Massachusetts but Bush and Nixon go back to John Howland of the Mayflower.
I'm not a direct descendant but my first cousins are. Their Grandmother was Melba Standish Sampson who runs directly back to Myles Standish. My Cousins the Bush Presidents and President Nixon go back to another Mayflower person, John Howland.
Finally. My YORK line that runs today unbroken, clearly a ship or so after. Stanford married Alden. Fletcher, Cummings, and more. Then lived in Yarmoth/ Cumberland thruout. My ggm MARY ESTEL YORK ( sins as well) that line rides up - Benjamin, Richard, on down to ME ( or my Bro who carries his name.. any insite?
I am trying to prove my lineage to Degory Priest. Although he dies in Jan 1621, he had a wife, with two daughter, who had stayed behind, in Leidon. His wife must have gotten word of his death, for she had re-married and came to America in 1622/23, along with her daughters. it is through those daughters, that I am trying to trace my lineage. Am hung up on 1707 John Perry and Mercy Swan (A known descendant) off spring.
Multiple Mayflower descendant here. My family has 17 known Mayflower ancestors. There's a lot of incorrect information here. Edward Fuller (one of our ancestors) did not survive the first year. There are many names in the word cloud that are not actually surnames of Mayflower passengers. Also, Marilyn Monroe is not a Mayflower descendant. She is descended from the Howland family, but not from a Mayflower passenger.
I am too The Dickinson line. John Dickinson was a 14 year old orphan that married Elizabeth Howland the first daughter of John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley. My grandmother on my moms side had the maiden name of Dickinson that goes that far back. I think its awesome. John Dickinson was the second husband of Elizabeth Howland. Her first husband was Ephraim Hicks and he was also a 14 year old orphan who came over on the Mayflower.
My aunt did our genealogy, and I a direct descendent of Miles Standish, John Alden, and Patricia Mullins Alden
We're related!

Genealogy does a great job of proving how important everyone is!

Looks like I'm also related to you guys! Sampson and Standish.

I descend from Howland, Billington, Tilley, Warren, and possibly Priest (He is the one I suspect but cannot yet confirm).
That would make us distant cousins. The Bush Presidents and I are cousins thru the Wellington Sisters of Massachusetts but Bush and Nixon go back to John Howland of the Mayflower.
I also am a distant cousin of the Bush family via a non-Mayflower ancestor of former President H.W. Bush's mother, Dorothy Bush.
I'm not a direct descendant but my first cousins are. Their Grandmother was Melba Standish Sampson who runs directly back to Myles Standish. My Cousins the Bush Presidents and President Nixon go back to another Mayflower person, John Howland.
I am descended from John and Priscilla Alden.
Same here. Via Elizabeth Alden & William Pabody. Hello!
From indiana...timothy...thank you
Or you can start with the Grandmother who said her ancestors were on the Mayflower.
May be connected to george soule..working on my family tree and came across soles/soule and norris connection.

I am related to Degory Priest and John Howland. My Mom has tons of genealogy on this
@@stevedillon5458 Does your lineage go through 1707 John Perry or any of the following Ebenezer Perrys? Would be greatful for info, if it does.
