- Laika Kreos 5009 Motorhome Travels. Having taken early retirement we have decided to go traveling in our Laika Kreos 5009 Motorhome. This is just some of our destinations so far.
This Vlog sees us taking the ferry from Ancona Italy to Igoumenitsa Greece. In this vlog we show the approach road to the ferry terminal. The approach to the Ferry and embarkation. We have a small trip around the ferry and after a 19 hour overnight trip we arrive in Igoumenista Greece. We show disembarkation and the easy route out of the Port. We hope you find this vlog informative.

I am planning a trip to from UK to Turkey via Ancona/Igoumenitsa. Ancona ferry entrance did look pretty confusing from the map, your video helped me get my head around it from ticket office to the gates. Thank you.

Hi Mandy, glad you liked the video. We left from Ancona Italy to Igoumenitsa and chose the camping on board option with Anek Lines. The price was circa £600 return. However, our return was from Igoumenitsa to Bari (which is Southern Italy) because it was the last available crossing with camping on board for the year. The return company was Super fast ferries but that was booked with Anek Lines. We didn't know our return carrier was Super fast until our trip out. Hope that's enough information. Currently on france headed to italy. Conaidering doing this with out van. So you stayed on the van during the crossing ?
Hi. Thanks for watching. Yes, we crossed whilst staying in our motorhome. Camping on board means you get electric supply and can sleep in your motorhome whilst crossing over to Greece which was a 19 hour crossing. Thanks for watching.
Hi, if I buy a deck or air seat ticket do I get to shower on the boat? Or Cabin is the only way to have that?
Hi @fkofbaku. Thank you for the message. To be honest we're not sure as we camped on deck in our motorhome and use the facilities of that rather than the ships facilities. Thanks for watching.
Hello! Seems like there are absolutely no security nor police controls. Do you feel comfortable/safe travelling like this in a ship?
Hi @gregory8909. There is the usual passport control and security stops to go through to get you to the ferry. Once on board we never felt unsafe. Thanks for watching.
@@laikalikers9570 thank you for your reply! Do you know how long the security controls take(the ones that check the contents of the van)? I will move to Greece and I have many boxes in my van. Do you have any suggestion about how long before should I come?
Hi @@gregory8909 . I have no idea how long the security controls take, Sorry. For our motorhome it was approximately 5 minutes checking the inside of the motorhome and in the garage compartment. As well as the usual passport and ticket checks.
