    Hi Dan, another amazing podcast, I remember the first time I heard you interview Robert Waggoner, I followed the advice he gave and I began to have loads of lucid dreams that I could control, ever since then I have always looked upon dreaming as a gateway to other realms that I can explore while being aware I’m in them ...not always me I will say that, I can be different people, I’m totally aware that most of the time I’m not me experiencing the lucid dream 😊

  • @ssgtsoule2623
    @ssgtsoule2623 2 года назад +1

    I can’t believe I’m just seeing this now, I’ve been having strange really vivid dreams about things that happen the DAY AFTER.
    It’s crazy, in the video the dude was talking about his student who had a dream about their family secret, and they had to go to the state court to discover it. Literally last night my dream had a court house, which I know may sounds like reaching here, but hear me out- right before my journey to the court house, I went to a family get together in my great grandad’s house.
    Now, I’ve never had a lucid dream before and am actively trying to, but I feel the more I learn the more I’m connected with reality through my dreams, I hope that one day I’ll be able to explore this phenomena.

    • @ssgtsoule2623
      @ssgtsoule2623 2 года назад

      Just reading the dream journal now, a GIRL mentioned “backing up” from a building that was getting demolished, that happened the moment right before I made my way to the court house, but somehow, something was holding me back from going inside.
      Crazy shit.

    Thank you for this conversation. I am just starting a practice that will hopefully lead to lucid dreaming. I've had an ancestral healing practice for a while which involves use of a drumming track and meditation technique to get into what I think you are describing here as OBE. I am taken places and shown things that help me to understand myself and my experience better, and I am held in the kind of love I have never experienced in my 'normal' state. It has changed my life and is endlessly healing. I have, like you, questionned what is 'me' and what is outside of 'me'. I feel that much of it is outside of 'me', as I have been conditioned to see myself, as an individual entity separate from the universe. So I come back to that buddhist notion that 'me' is illusory, that this learning leans into the 'me' concept for now - 'I' feel helped, educated, loved and supported by 'them', but I suspect as my journey continues, those distinctions/boundaries will lessen and eventually disapear. I feel that shift, but I am also loving the sense of relaxing into 'their' care... I think I will stay here for a while :)

    Dreaming demands that we master our minds, and mastering our minds demands focus and control. How often do we allow our minds to go wherever it wants without us bringing it back tot he center? Dreams work the same way when we do not consciously control them; everything appears to be random. However, most of us have had rare moments where we realized we were dreaming and we would begin to explore that limitless inner world, consciously. How this happens I don't know personally , but how to dream consciously has been lost.
    On another note, if we've ever had a dream of someone else's experience, we should question whether or not we're tapping into someones life record. The Akashic Record (which is the improper name) is like the internet to the gazillionth power.

    Yeah, in lucid an oak chair is about as real seeming and solid as an oak chair in the waking world. There are some BIG differences between lucid and waking world. I was in a dream getting chased by some Russian soldiers with furry hats. Then I thought hang on a minute, this is only a dream. I turned to face the Russian soldiers, and said this is only a dream, I'm just not afraid of you any more, what are going to do? They said you are right this is a dream, our ordrrs were just to chase you and you wer emeant to carry on running, now you have stopped we don't know what to do our orders don't cover that. I told the Russians to just sit down on the grass over there and have a rest, and they did. Then it struck me I had been running for about a mile, pretty fast as I had been running from some serious mean looking Russian soldiers, yet I was not the slightest bit out of breath, and my muscles were not the slightest bit fatigued, and I was not sweating even slightly. I know from being a rgular runner in real life this is well different from the waking world. Eyelid blonking and breathing and sweating is well different in lucid. Throwing some doubt that real life is simply another dream, even though peopl,e and oak chairs and so on seem almost indisguishable in the two worlds.
    i absolutely do not believe in any of that "the secret" bullshit, or anything at all to do with manifestation or sit in your armchair imagine yourself to being a millionaire. Total utter snake oil bullshit.

    • @medicalinterest9091
      @medicalinterest9091 5 лет назад

      @@Jchathe Yes. Not only hearing it but feeling it. A bit akin to being in a small aeroplane when the engine is making the whole plane vibrate. Like I have heard, this sometimes comes with the feeling of rotating or falling. Unfortunately that usually snaps one awake too quickly to encourage it. In pre sleep, when visuals become clearer, I imagine standing on the edge of a cliff and throwing myself off. It can be quite scary the first few times. Letting go of the laws of waking reality which don't apply can be the biggest block. Looking upon this daytime waking reality as a dream takes daily practise. Adopting (pretending?) the "arising and passing" attitude towards everything can revolutionize the whole of one's life. No more fear of dying. If R.J. Monroe is correct, we can't die so we better get a handle on our reality making process before we lose the time and space dimension to practice in. The handle maybe the ability to detach from everything and surrender from one nano moment to the next. AND ask for help from our God Self.

    • "Now another word for the soul is entity. You see it is not a simple matter of giving you a definition of a soul or entity, for even to have a glimpse in logical terms you would have to understand it in spiritual, psychic, and electromagnetic terms, and understand the basic nature of consciousness and action as well. But you can intuitively discover the nature of the soul or entity, and in many ways intuitive knowledge is superior to any other kind."
    • "You insist upon focusing your attention upon the similarities that are woven through your own behavior; and upon these you build a theory that the self follows a pattern that you, instead, have transposed upon it. And the transposed pattern prevents you from seeing the self as it really is."
