    On my FX 450 I have a battery tender lead that works with the battery tender, but also works with a jump battery I have set up. The 450 is a turd to start if the temps are in the 30's and the jump battery adds enough extra amp power, and of course on more remote rides it's nice to have the peace of mind of a back up since there is no kicker. I have a plug reverser so I can connect the two batteries together for a jump if that makes sense. They are both set up to charge from a battery tender so the adapter lets those two connect what would have been male to male and female to female plugs. I just picked up another battery tender lead and will be putting it on my new 300 XC. I have the lower amp Tusk fan and a Cyclops headlight (and turn signals and brake lights) running a True North Motos kit that also includes one of those little push button switches to turn off the lights.

    Most guys are running the Tusk fan, only draws 15W, the Spal Fan draws 30W.

      Thanks for the info, I just got the Spal fan, and only intent to use it with a manual switch on hill climbs. On another note the stock stator puts out 71 watts @ 5000rpm, but at idle only 20watts, I want to install the Acerbis VSL Headlight, as I like the look and the light intensity is very high, but I believe it draws 48 watts.

      @@alexkevan3887 2023 TX/TC TBI bikes have only a 30W stator. The 71W are 2023 TE or 2022 TX/TC

    Do you think the '23 XC runs hotter than the 300 TPI's?

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад +1

      I've had both and I think they are close to the same, if anything the TBI runs a bit cooler.

      I have a ‘22 tx 300 with same fan and no issues in technical riding, but my bike has a much bigger stator, not sure why Ktm went this route for the tbi bikes

      Only for the XC/TX. The Xcw and Te have a bigger stator for new gen bikes.
