    The microbiome is the entire population of microorganisms that live on or in the body. There is some evidence that certain signatures of gut population levels can have a strong correlative and even causative relationship with health status. Antibiotics, when taken, kill both pathogenic and healthy bacterial species. Probiotics are one way of repopulating the gut with beneficial bacteria following antibiotic use. In this clip, Tim Ferriss and Dr. Rhonda Patrick discuss the specifics of restoring a healthy microbiome using probiotics.
    This clip was taken from the FoundMyFitness interview with Tim Ferriss found at • Tim Ferriss on Ketosis...

    From what she described about the bad bacteria taking up space in the gut, it seems that fasting would be the solution because bad bacteria starve faster than the good bacteria.

      @@sharonbice7490 I've been very ill from strong antibiotics before and it took me at least a year to feel normal. There's certainly hope that you'll feel a lot better with time, especially since you're already eating healthy.
      The main thing to focus on is your stress level. I stressed my self out so much thinking I'd bike that forever and that just perpetuated the vicious cycle. If I would of just chilled out I think my body would've recovered much quicker.
      Just sit back, relax and you'll be ok.

And yes normally don't get stressed at all, but not able to work, to ill, and I have many hospital bills piling up and haven't worked since Jan, then the restless nights with no sleep, made it worse. Went to doctor and got something to help me sleep, hopefully it helps, even thou I'm more holistic in healing, nothing I tried worked, and had no choice, because no sleep really makes any illness worse. Thank you for telling me this. Doctors don't tell me nothing, not even to eat probotics, had to do my own research to find out what to eat. God bless 🙏

    So turns out I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. From reading, it looks like certain bacteria in the gut may produce proteins that your body sees as looking very similar to proteins in my ligaments and starts attacking those ligaments too. Now my question is - Until they figure out which bacteria is the culprit through using Alphafold to compare the proteins from bacteria to similar molecules in your body - how do I nuke and pave my microbiome? Full set of antibiotics to erase all bacteria followed by some badass probiotic starter kit? I'm working to slow my reaction to the immune system attacking me my increasing my parasympathetic nervous system and decreasing my sympathetic nervous system responses through Hormetic stressors and dietary changes.

    • @David-vn2id
      @David-vn2id 4 года назад +3

      That's not the only difference...VSL pharmaceuticals got sued for changing the formula that went against patent and now all VSL#3 has been taken off all shelves. You cannot purchase it anymore. Visbiome is the other company that the inventor collaborated with when it was time to bring it to market. I am a big Dr. Rhonda Patrick fan, and I wish she would stop promoting VSL #3 and get on board with recommending Visbiome instead.

      The creator of the De Simone Formulation left vsl3 and worked a deal with Visbiome. All that legally means is that vsl3 can't say it's the De Simone formulation anymore. VSL3 was taken to court because they kept marketing the same initial test results after the deal with Visbiome. VSL3 can no longer legally say that it uses the same formula and test trials, hence why Visbiome uses dairy. You can still buy both.

      Someone in my household had success with turmeric powder, plus just enough coconut oil to hold it together as a paste. Applied topically and held on with a stretchy wrap. Also had 1/4 tsp of it in yogurt 1-2 x /day. Just make sure it’s high quality bc turmeric is sometimes tainted with fillers like lead powder.
