Reminds me of my flights from Toronto to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific CX289 777-300ER and my flight from Toronto to Shanghai on a China Eastern Airlines 777-300ER. Both times over the Arctic Ocean. Amazing. Great aircraft and interesting flights. Hopefully soon again .
13:30 Nice to see you treat it as a touch screen and not a push screen. Nothing worse than the older type IFE's where idiots poke so hard the whole seat moves every time people push the screen.
At that time I took the trip, Air Canada was the cheapest option. Even now, I am flying in a few days to Tokyo, Air Canada was still cheaper compared to those Airlines. This was the case since they reconfigured their 777s to a 3-4-3 config. They were able to compete with Asian airlines. If I had the cheaper choice, I would go with EVA or CX.
Hi there PlaneGeek, nice perceptive on this aircraft. I have just edited my version in PE going direct to BOM flown in Feb 2018 ( late editing just time on my hands! ). It's nice seeing another class's review despite not the same destination, but more a less the same. Keep up with the good work. JJ30 ( a fellow 6ix ).
Neat video and review. Hopefully the flight attendants got word how dirty that restroom was and took care of it. I've never done a polar route, but your route would take you over, in my opinion, really unique scenery.
I am planning to take the same flight as you to Hong Kong this coming January. I have never flown to Asia west ward before, always through Europe, so curious to know the impact on jet lag.
Jason Le I just got back from a flight from Tokyo last night. Right now, I’m feeling jet lagged. Most important thing is, you adjust your sleeping pattern to the real time so it will have very minimal effect.
Air Canada’s 777s have very narrow leg room, esp if you are tall. Your best bet is to either take an aisle seat so you can stretch from time to time, or take the last three window rows of the aircraft which has only two seats which are offset. There will be some room to extend your legs. Otherwise, you can stand as well in the cabin once the seatbelt signs are off to stretch your legs. Hope this helps.
Hi!! I have connection flight in Hong Kong from Manila to Toronto. Do i have to recheck my baggage in HK? I have MNL-HK PAL Flight. Also, where can i get the boarding pass for my HK-YYZ Air Canada flight?
pre-pandemic jollies ... i can see faces i can see humans .>>sobs n cry tear eyed..

2018, wow this was different times huh? flying was as easy as booking and off we go. Great flight review! 😊

Excellent trip report! I watched it from beginning to end and enjoyed every second of it! Looking forward to more!
Nice video, just have to say though, with EVA Air and Cathay Pacific's prices being so competitive these days, why would anyone choose Air Canada.

How about a nice little Eva Air strike.
Here here.. AC are dreadful and no comparison to Eva, Cathay aND PAL

Thank you. I'm taking another long-haul trip soon with Air Canada 777-300ER. Still economy but I'll be doing another review of the trip.

Oh hey, I was in Guangzhou at the time being of this video.

Please tell me how your legs felt during the journey, and if there is anything I can do to prepare

If its with different airlines ( i.e. not connecting flights) then you need to recheck your bags in HK
3x4x3 layout and Cathay Pacific is putting that on its 777s.
Ya, I heard. That's unfortunate. On the other note, Delta will keep their 777's in a 3-3-3 configurations even after they upgrade their cabins.
PlaneGeek Travels But KLM and Air France are going for the 3x4x3 layout on their 777s.
When I flew Cathay Pacific CX829 to Hong Kong, their 777-300ER were still 3x3x3. But I guess changed now. The extra row of seats increases income.
I would try Eva airlines if I could Taiwan to HK via Toronto
Air Canada is the Flag Carrier of Canada
Is it winter yet
Willy Emppy This was filmed back in February - which is still winter.
I went to hk 2018 but not air Canada though
Is that snow am seeing in toronto
Willy Emppy Yes it is.
I like their nice air canada livery lol as a Filipino Canadian
DO GAMING I like PAL better 🇵🇭😀
I thought this route is using the Dreamliner
Nadif Indoflyer No. 787’s are used for flights to Japan. Flights to HKG use the 777-200s and 777-300s.
😍
I would take red eyes to hk
747 subs lol
This route has been cancelled because Russia has war
