I spent 20 minutes researching the frisby stereo test because it was seriously bothering me that I couldn’t get ANY of them. I thought I just wasn’t understanding what I was supposed to look for so I kept trying to find out what I was doing wrong. Then realized that it’s just not possible to see the circle due to the fact it’s a video with a monocular view.

@@KraZeyyzz it is the same issue as Ethan H mentioned. Camera's dont take 3D pictures. You would have to see the plates in real life

It's either the camera or RUclips compression.
it tests depth perception
since we are viewing it as a monocular video (like viewing through only 1 eye), we cannot see the circles because we have *no* depth perception

Just a suggestion
In your past videos I see you use the camera app on your iPhone to record your videos. On the settings you can change the format from 1080p/30f to 4k/60f which is a change in the quality of the video as in sharpness and contrast and all that good stuff! 4k/60f is the best you can get but uses a good bit of memory! I love your videos and they help a lot during the night. Great work 👍
I have made the occasional 4k and maybe I should have here but yes, memory take up is quite a thing
Love the upclose intense tingles from speaking louder or maybe it’s the sensitivity and volume up but I love it

I had to have eye surgeries at 18 months and 4 years old and some of these tests are triggering past memories I completely forgot about!! I remember having to try and grab the fly’s wings and see which circle was 3D! Also I had to follow the pictures on the stick all the time, especially after the first surgery since I was too young to know numbers and letters! Love your ASMR videos!!

It’s a stereopsis test - it tests the eyes’ ability to work together to give us the impression of depth/3D vision. Since the video is recorded using a single lens (mono-opsis?), it’s reasonable to assume normal cameras and displays simply cannot accurately depict and reproduce what the test actually looks like in person.
Edit: Or rather, this is in fact precisely what it would look like in person if you had poor depth perception :)

I don't know if its normal but i really struggle to see the hollow circle in the frisbee test. I have been pausing the video on the first test and I just cant see a cicle.

I am still trying to find the circles and I don't see them anywhere maybe you could point out where they are because I'm clueless in your next video or clarify where they are because I spent 15 minutes looking at the screen for a circle hollowed out and I couldn't find it

when i was still in primary school, and i still had to go to the hospital for my eye tests they would do the frisby test on me and i always found it so fun and idk why 😂.
I wish there was a way to use the red and green lenses we’ve looked through before for the final test. Still another great video!

The optician is the place I go and get the most tingles. Depends of course on who the optician is, but still, more tingles than even getting a massage or anything thats supposed to be "relaxing". It's the methodical process involved in it or something.
I agree. You expect an eye exam to last longer and contain more tests than say visiting a doctor for a specific problem.

The titmus stereo one was the only one i could almost 100%! i could tell things were 3d in the diamonds by looking at colours outside their shading and drawings, and the vibration effect they gave off compared to the others!
I had to google hyperopic and miopic lenses but immediately started laughing. The irony that the koala was out of focus lol.

I dont know wether its only me or not, but ive seen the circle in the first test. Well, kind of-. The trick is to not focus on a spot on the plate but rather observe the whole if that makes sense. The video is briliant, as always!

Yes, you need your two eyes to attempt stereo testing, with the test literally in front of you.

It's a depth perception test, for which you generally need two eyes to succeed. We're only seeing it through the single lens camera. As fantastic as SRP's videos are, even they can't replicate EVERY facet of being present for a real eye exam.
