You are one of my fave cardmaking video makers for many reasons-soothing voice, we see all of the steps in making the card, you describe well but simply every step and every product. You use a variety of products and give credit to all. It is exciting you are producing 2 videos a week now. Thank you for being some of the really bright spots in my week! AND I do love this video.
Darlene, What a wonderful surprise to get to have 2 videos in one week! I am in love with how you used the paisley bkgd with the gelatos! Wonderful card and tutorial!
I love this card. I don't really have any background stamps so what I did was I took the Flower Patch Stampin Up set and placed the ones that I loved the most onto a clear block and then stamped it over and over rotating the set of stamps that I used. I didn't have any white embossing power (ran out) but used clear on the Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used my Cameo and created a flourish that I found on the Miss Kates cutables. I loved the shape, of the card so again I used my cameo and found a set of nested shapes on Miss Kates cutables that were very similar to your spellbinders and used that. I just love everything that you have made. You are my hero! Keep the inspiration coming.
Very pretty! I always want to run down to my scrap room and play when I finish watching. lol I have these but never really played with them. I took one of their classes at at CKC and their products were sold out. I always planned on getting more, but I do have green and blue. I can't wait to see your other video. Thank you for the inspiration. You are amazing! Take care. :)
When you use the gelatos direct to paper do they smear or will they set on their own? If they set how long does it take for them to completely dry? If they don't set on their own what do you need to use for them to set? Thanks!!
Hi scrappingwest - I never set my gelatos with anything because I usually apply a fairly thin layer. They set almost immediately about 80% of the way, then maybe after 20 minutes or so they should be completely dry. However, if you put a very thick layer on, you might want to set it with some kind of fixative spray.

Did you have to use gesso before putting stamping your background stamp? Beautiful card btw!
No, I didn't.
Thanks for the Inspiration :)
what kind of gel pens are you using in this?
They are actually gelatos, made by Faber Castell.
