Thanks for listening! ODB's unique style was definitely one of a kind, but there are many talented rappers making original music today! Is there anyone in particular you're a fan of in the current scene?
Thanks, man! It means a lot to me, I grew up with Wu-Tang Clan music so this beat came up as I wished for - even if it's old. Now I'm more skilled but sampled beats business is too complicated if You want to make money from it so that's why there's not a lot of old-school beats currently.
@@evo2928 actually no, my new beats has much fewer views than this, the issue abt new style is that variety of styles is maybe too wide, old-school is tight but existed much longer. If I could and had the finances to clear my samples to work with an artist who could deliver, I think I could still make old-school stuff. There are alternatives to get clearance but it costs a lot according to the sample lengths. And even, if I use a sample, I twist it so much that nobody can recognize but I wouldn't risk it. Music industries are a very difficult market to get paid but if there would be possibilities to share % for using sample instead of the buyout, everybody could win and the genre stays alive. That's what I think.
*Thank you to everyone who has supported my beat! I'm excited to announce that we just hit 50k views!!!* Your support means everything and I can't wait to keep creating and sharing more music with you all. *By the way, if you haven't already, I'd love for you to check out my latest beat tape 'Personal'* It's available now at this link: beatstars.lnk.to/Mo9Yda *Also, for those interested, I found some great sound libraries to create my oldschool type beats with my MPC and legally sell it! (tracklib seems now much cheaper then it used to be)* More updates in this summer!
Thanks! I used samples directly from the vinyl, then I imported them into MPC Studio. Next year, I've got a plan to rebuild my studio, so I'm bringing my vinyl player here. But I don't know if I'm going to sell these old-school beats due to potential copyright problems. That's why I switched the style. I still wanted to be straightforward with my music so - I prefer to do Chicago trap/drill type sounds and beats but I have some RNB/TrapSoul stuff too (I got release planned out by 31st January 2023 - Storytelling Trap-Soul beat tape). I need to somehow figure out to get independent as a producer/sound engineer(not only because of money but because I love to do it) so I need to keep my algorithm "safe" and so can't risk and f*ck around with the copyright strikes yamean.
@@stefan5430 I'm working very hard for it, for MPC beat lovers, I added 500GB separate hard drive so there gon b sum old school stuff coming on stores, but this time, with cleared samples ✅️ Thank You for ur kind words, and I wish You the Best as well!
@@montecarlo3073 Jestem wielkim fanem Wu-Tang Clan i ODB.
