      Hi, maby you need to pull a bit harder and make sure the T-bar is still secured. Hope this helps 😊

      @@midlightfair6495 yes you remove the spring and on that place you put the second cord with that one you can open the eyes. And with the other cord you can close and change the eye color.

      @@midlightfair6495 you need to pull a bit harder untill you heard a click. When you do, the eye color changed.

    Great video I tried this on my Blythe and first one I did this to worked great second one I did this to the lids kind of just roll down shut . Lids won't really stay up when eyes are open. Any suggestions as to what may be going on. Any suggestions would be so helpful.

      You have to pull the new cord you add to open her eyes.

    So you don’t place back the metal spring?! Is this the factory Blythe doll?

    • @Mela-nie
      @Mela-nie  5 лет назад +1

      No you don't need it anymore. And yes this is a fake blythe doll. 😊

      Melanie Bouman oh ok..I ended up not doing it, since the metal spring makes the eyes open up wide, and I like the way it opens up the eyes. I have a problem..I bought macrame Strings as suggested by another RUclipsr, but after 10pulls, it started to fray and tear where the string meets the round hole on back of Blythe’s Head...what string works best for you?

      @@Gardenofdolls I use a nylon cord, about 1mm works fine for me.

      @Gardenofdolls 5 лет назад

      Melanie Bouman ok..thanks~~the ones I had bought are .8mm...the main prob was where the fraying began near the metal ring on back of dolls head...so fraustrating.

      @@Gardenofdolls 8mm is too thick. I has to be 1mm, 1.2mm tops.

    Thank you so much! I'm gonna do this on mine as soon she arrives.
    This means everytime I close and open her eyes, the eyes colors will change automatically? I won't be able to do it manually anymore?

    • @Mela-nie
      @Mela-nie  4 года назад +1

      The eyes of a Blythe always change automatically and then open. With the extra string you can also keep her eyes closed.

    • @tinaag
      @tinaag 4 года назад

      @@Mela-nie so I did the process myself and works fine, except the eyes don't change automatically. Too bad. Perhaps is because I put the cord coming out from the second hole from left to right, instead the first? But I can still change by moving with my finger.

    • @Mela-nie
      @Mela-nie  4 года назад +3

      Are you pulling hard enoug?? (not to hard) you will hear a click sound wen the color changes.
      I always keep the pull cord that comes with the doll in de original place and the new one next to it. Make sure they are not tangled inside the head.

    • @tinaag
      @tinaag 4 года назад +1

      @@Mela-nie thank you for the tip on the pull hard but not to hard. When it "clicks", the eyes are way better closed. When I was not pulling a bit harder, the eyes closed but not much. Thank you. Your video is short and explains very well, fast and helpfull, You are sucha doll too, haha!
      Yeah, I didn't even think about remove the closing eyes cord, The need to stay, I kept it on her.
      This can be done on Middie Blythe dolls too? I bought one but it wasn't delivered yet. I also bought two more Blythes, and they will have sleepy eyes for sure!

      @@tinaag thanks, not sure about the middies since they don't have a pull cord. They only have one pair of eyes that can chance from left to right
