Why...? Those films (if you could even call them films) and "books" were horrible. Not only were they badly written but they portrayed BDSM dangerously wrong and Christian is a highly abusive, controlling, possessive character. Jamie Dornan even said he wished he never accepted the role because he has a hard time with the industry taking him seriously, now. If Sebastian took that role it would've ruined his career. He doesn't deserve that.
