The advantage the Pmk2 has over the FDL is the fact that it can have both multis and modshards/modplasma on the same build. For newer CMDRs this means a MUCH easier time with killing hearts - anything below a Hydra is fairly easy, so long as you have decent cold-orbiting down.

Cool to see the Python Mk2 come into its own! I'm hopefully getting one in August
You won't be disappointed. It's a lot of fun to fly, no matter what role you decide to build for.
It's a good ship, but for AX I feel like it's a slightly worse version of the FDL. For PVP it goes hard and actually feels balanced against the lance

I had someone tell me, "the P MK2 would not make a good AX ship". Well, waiting for it to be a bad ship still.
