    Which rice have you used here ? My benchmate who was from Kerala used to bring these appam , nd we all used to just grab appams from her tiffin🥟🥟 . Few months back when my mom tried these at home , these turned out good but not great ,🙂🤦🏻 later she said you must've used different rice 🍚
    . Pls let me know which rice we can use

    This is kerala's traditional unniappam

  • @Humakadri

    If we don't have this mould .what's the other option to fry ?

    • @Subbuskitchenpage
      @Subbuskitchenpage  3 года назад

      We can directly pour a ladle of batter in oil and deep fry. That is the conventional method. Now with this nonstick mould everyone wants to use less oil. But the deep fry version is the traditional method and that taste would be awesome. The appams will be much more crispier too. Thank you 😊🙏🙏🙏

    • @Subbuskitchenpage

    If I prepare the batter today and used it next day - will it produce nei appam as it would be prepared from fresh batter?

    • @Subbuskitchenpage
      @Subbuskitchenpage  5 лет назад

      If we keep the batter for a long time, the jaggery in the batter makes it more watery. So I advice to prepare batter fresh

      I think you are correct about the names as they are used in the beautiful land of Kerala. But, in the equally beautiful land of TamilNadu, sometimes, this is referred to as a nei-appam, or simply, appam. As to the pan, it is sometimes referred to as "painyaram" in TN, and as Aebleskiver in Denmark. What is in a name brother or sister? Thank the good lady for putting together, and enjoy!
