I’ve been using retin A while on birth control which causes my melasma in the first place. Genetically my parents or any of my siblings don’t melasma, it only happened when I am in HRT, high estrogen level.
People please see videos that gives clear instructions on how to use tretinoin..please don't use it blindly to avoid side effects and further damage. Tretinoin needs some specific precautions especially for dark skinned people such as moisturizers and sun protection.

Drink a lot of water. Sometimes the pigmentation comes on due to dehydration. If all else fails use this technique or use it simultaneously.
