I "liked" his music growing up (late-90s/early-00s), but mostly in that "his lyrics are funny/obnoxious and he's got catchy beats" way that resonated with an 11-15 year old. Over the years as I grew up, but also as the Internet and interviews became more visible, I've developed a real appreciation for his thoughtfulness when it comes to his music + his ability to translate his anger, pain, and hardships growing up into his music but also his inability to let bullshit slide.
