I delete egr by 1mm aluminum plate but i got check engine. On vcds error insufficient flow... How can i egr off by software? What tool i need, can i do with VCDS or KESS? 1.6 16V AZD engine 05.2001... ECU is marelli...
Some newer Cars (newer than 2000) detect a blocked AGR hose. Some of them shows the check engine light. The only way to get rid of it, is programming it out of the ECUs Flash. Some chiptuners do this. You can not do it with VCDS.
My golf mk4 1.4 petrol is consuming a lot of oil, not apparent leaks, could it be the egr that is blocked that can cause the excessive oil consumption? thanks !
I don't think of the EGR. Could be the piston rings (all 4 or maybe a few). If you got oil in your cars cooling water, then it could be the cylinder head gasket. What is "a lot of oil"? Volkswagen says 1l per 1000km is still normal :o But I think 1l is too much for 1000km.
thanks for the reply!!! its more like 1L per 600 but hard to say accurately, i do quite a few small trips. no oil in water, and its not sucking when i run the engine with he oil cap off. probably piston rings but was hoping not lol... @@Golf4org
@@Golf4org Yep that one. I just thought that does it possibly connect to somethinh on the other end. Mine (-03, 1.4L 16V) has the little filter right at the end of the "elbow", doesn't have the straight part of the tube in between.
@@mechatron2775see Đorđe Mitrašinović question below, 2 Months ago. Remove the Filter/Valve from the EGR Valve and blow in and you can confirm it's just a filter or maybe a valve. :D
Hey they were dose the vacuum hose connects to from the EGR valve ? Mine is broken but I cannot find out where it goes to can you help me ?
Goes to a small filter. Not connected to Vacuum.

Hello. What do you use in cleaning egr tube ? I can use cleaning - brake cleaner ? Thank you
I used break cleaner
At 2:38 where does the other end of the small hose go from the egr valve? In to the throttle body perhaps or where?
The small one with the Elbow? To a little filter which is open on the other end.

Hello! Is necesarie vag com after clean of egr? Thank you very much!
Only to clear the code. Maybe worth doing a throttle adaption also as engine should be idiling better , old comment but hope it helps 👍
where the vacum hose other end goes,i have promblem with that.
A thin rubber tube is connected to the EGR valve, at the end there is a black-and-white valve. How to properly connect this valve?
This is just a small airfilter, connected to nothing.
@@Golf4org Thanks for your answer.i Have 2 more questions: Is it an air filter? or maybe a one-way valve? its very important information for me.

Do I need to replace the metal gaskets and if so, where do I find them?
Maybe you need to. I didn't and everything was fine. I think you can order it online or call Volkswagen Parts Service.
Nice!!
How many km or miles are on it?
5:08 236654km, but I got it with new cylinder head gasket and water pump.
How u set those needles to do stuff like that on contact?
Needle sweep.
3:06 friends toothbrush, speedkar99 reference?
Exactly :D
