my uncle used to work for CN for decades as an accident investigator. A couple of things he told me that stood out. 1. The most common reason for an accident is poor track maintenance. 2. in his entire career, only once did the company apply the recommendations in his reports. It had to do with signage.
It took several broken rails and derailed trains in Vancouver for CN to finally replace a bunch of their track. There's some rail in Lulu I think that pre-dates the 50s.
I read up on the story and the RCMP reported that there were no injuries. The crew was able to detach the front of the train (the engines and a few of the train cars) and move further down the track away from the fire.
This report would be a lot more informative if the description stated the general location in Saskatchewan and whether or not it's on the national line.
The railway is not owned by the government, only regulated by it. Mr. Trudeau is not directly responsible for their operation and business practices. If you're going to clown on him, make sure it's for a legit reason.
@@thirstfast1025 read somewhere else on this video that's over 20 derailments there this year. So yeah, I do think overall rail is much more destructive than a pipe.
Just North of Estevan near Macoun. My guess a track defect. I'm not surprised considering how many trains on that track. Fun fact: every single automobile carried on that train can no longer go to market. Even in the undamaged traincars where the vehicles may still be in perfect condition, as they've been involved in a derailment, they're effectively "totalled" and will be scrapped.
