I’ve been taking 6. I enjoyed hearing your thought process on how to go about it
To try and help answer some of your questions. It basically all comes down to if you want to run with 4 to 5 glyphs with the bonuses or if you want to have 6 with just the base stats. Spend some gold and experiment and see what will work and be best for your builds. I run with 4 glyphs with bonuses and in Werewolf form my attack is 42k
I always get chuffed when I can’t get the added bonus you can receive from rare nodes due to not meeting the minimum dex/willpower requirements for rares nodes.
The problem I have with this system is it doesn’t take into consideration the doubling up of stats benefits that can be as beneficial as reaching another glyphs spot particularly on boards you’re hitting multiple rare nodes. While of course you have some great advice, I’m more impressed by board builds that have the boards where multiple rare nodes are taken placed in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th boards, because you just can’t depend on having the mins to get the rare double up bonuses in the 5th + boards unless you stack stats in your gear, and that will come at price of other superior gears stats.
Ok, I think I understand why you make some of the decisions you do when it comes to rare and magic nodes, as well as focusing on the stat you want most of. What I don't understand is why you'd want 6 or 7 glyphs running below their potential versus 3 or 4 that have every last scrap squeezed out. Take exhumation, for example. Wouldn't 250% (I can't remember the exact numbers) be better than 150%? This is the last area that I don't really understand in diablo 4. Thanks!
Well full power glyph damage is additive with other sources vs multiplicative secondary bonuses that will give you more damage overall than extra 40-70 % additive on each glyph. Hope that makes sense ? I run 8 glyph setup on my ball lighting sorceress, with maxed teras of blood glyph, one legendery node + one extra defensive node, and i seen huge jump in power after respacing to that new setup vs 6 glyph maxed paragons.
There is also matter of uptime based on condition, when specific glyph is concerned.
Only glyphs that are worth putting extra points in are those that affect base skill damage before damage calc like in BL sorc example Adept (Mastery skills damage increase), and +crit damage glyph, if you can spare points that is.

As a Bone spear necro I have only 5 glyphs, following the maxroll guide.. doesn't matter much anyway, AoZ one shot me so fast I can't even react to it.. I managed to get all the way to the end "bosses" once, but they one shotted me before I even could see them... so much fun
Bone Necro is truly not suited for this!

Itd be nice if they added notes to the side listing all the total bonuses you have. But blizzard is too incompetent to add that.
The Paragon system frustrates me because every second I spend trying to decipher this grid system is a second that I could be playing the game.

If you don’t like it then just use guides and keep grinding. If you do like it then it’s part of the game and you are playing Diablo when you study it.

Just in the middle of the video right now. I did in fact realize how important the paragon arrangement is from the PTR. Having the glyphs maxed and having the points really made me feel the power of the game. Now where the hell is my Black River dammit rng!!!!!

Great video but you’re all over the place with showing the boards, glyphs and zooming in and out. It’s difficult to really focus on the boards individually.

Jep beause Tears of Blood Limitations :) For AOZ shift had to happen - This is something "new" that i will incorporate in every single build

Just a sad fact. They nerfed crit damage and vulnerable damage to the ground.
Only the baseline buff of criting or making an enemy vulnerable is a multiplier. Everything else is additive unfortunately.
So that +5% damage is the same as +5% vulnerable damage now.
Except the +5% damage is global instead of conditional.

@@P4wnyhof i was just stating more in general towards the beginning of the video when you refer to crit damage and vulnerable damage being multipliers.
Just stating it as a PSA for those who might not know. Especially since it USED to be all multipliers but no longer is.(except for the baseline of each)

Even without english being my first language its talk about multiplicative and additive damages :)
